Jane Fonda Shocks 'Today' Show with 'C' Word

Jane Fonda has certainly stirred up her share of controversy in her lifetime, but did the award-winning actress really drop the C-bomb this morning on live TV?

Yes!

Jane used the vulgar word, which describes a female body part, while talking about a recent request to appear in the theatrical reading of "The Vagina Monologues."

The Oscar-winner visited the "Today" show with "Monologues" founder Eve Ensler to discuss the 15th anniversary of the play and the 10th anniversay of "V-Day" when she let loose.

The slip prompted Meredith Vieira to issue an apology, stating, "We were talking about 'The Vagina Monologues' and Jane Fonda inadvertently said a word from the play that you don't say on television. It was a slip and obviously she apologizes, and so do we. We would do nothing to offend the audience. So please accept that apology."

Dear Christen:

On the suggestion of beheading - well done - is Jesus your Lord and Savior, too?

Jane is nothing but a communist “female dog” she should have been beheaded for her treasoness acts in vietnam, no real american who knows what she did there could ever support her! I think some of you need to get educated before you show your support for someone you obviously know nothing about.

The “C-word” literally means “wedge” which simply describes the triangular shape of that particular female body part. Why is our society so prudish? Loosen up America.

For crist’s sake! So what! She had a slip of the tongue & said a vulgar word, I personally find that word vulgar, but big deal! This is why we live in America, people. Freedom of speach, remember that right?!

Who cares? Did she really do anything so bad? Everyone needs to stop being so uptight!

Jane obviously still has emotional problems from her mother’s suicide at age 12. She is crying out for attention from getting on the tank in Vietnam to using the vulgar word today to get attention. How sad and pathetic. Even at age 70 it shows that some people will never grow up and mature.

Does it really matter that she used that word within the context of The Vagina Monologues? Everyone knows that Jane Fonda is a free spirit and good for her!

But ultimately, who cares? Why do words that describe the human body offend you? Why are Americans so sensitive with everything…race, religion, language? You can barely breathe anymore without offending someone and being slapped with a law suit. It’s really annoying. Loosen up people and get over your issues. Having to pussyfoot around ignorant people has gotten really old.

Are you kidding me? There’s a channel on in the early evening that has two female hosts selling, fondling, caressing and more… giant dildo’s and the like. To me, THAT is something to complain about. Jane Fonda is a lady through and through.

If she was speaking of her self then she used the right word, that’s what she is.

You offend most people by having that thing on your show. She is nasty and proved it there.
