The “rocker” chick with the frightful hair should have been voted off! She is truely dreadful!

Alaina was the best singer by far. She should not have been voted off. There should be an investigation. What a shame. Total shock!!

Simon Cowel has always said this was a SINGING competition! Obviously, most voters aren’t good judges of
SINGING, else Alaina and Alexandrea would still be there! Perfect example - Kat McPhee lost to a non-singer last year! People seem to enjoy the screamers, shreikers and wailers more than performers with GOOD voices!

I can’t beleve Alana got the lowest number of votes!! Alana should have been the next American Idol. Even Paula seemed like Alana shodent have gone home. Dosent thal count for anything? America sucks at voting. Sorry but true. Amanda should have gone home she sings like a dying walrus and Alexandria should’ve staded.

Alaina is one of the best singers on the show. I find it hard to believe that she had one of the lowest number of votes.

I was shocked!!! Something had to have gone wrong when the votes were calculated. There is no way Alaina got the lowest number of votes. She’s the best thing to hit American Idol since Carrie Underwood. She is by far better than Amanda. I’m beginning to wonder if the show is a set up…. The only reason why I will still watch is David Archuleta. If he gets kicked off I will be convinced that the show is fixed. Alaina needs to come back! Send Amanda home!

I am really surprised and disappointed. I think there was something wrong with the phone lines, I tried to vote for her for over an hour! I kept getting a busy signal, so I finally gave up. She really has a beautiful voice. What a shame, she would have had my vote if I could have gotten through. I hope she continues on with a singing career.

I was stunned that Alaina was sent home; I expected her to be there for a very long time. She should not be embarrassed by her reaction as it was a shock to everyone, including Kady. She should be proud that she was able to regain composure so quickly and was able to sing her farewell so beautifully. I expect Alaina to be a star!

I was totally shocked!! Alaina has an excellent voice and I voted for her and predicted her to be in top 4. Definitely was a huge mistake. Please continue to sing Alaina and do not give up because you will get a record contract. I thought you were great!

I agree whole heartedly the wrong girl was voted off… she was definitely one of the best singers there.. There were at least 4 other girls that should have gone long before Alaina Whitaker. I hope some recording agent gives her a contract…she’s got STAR potential!

i really havent been a fan sense carrie won it but i do agree that the wrong girl was voted off. but to bring her back i think would be the end of the show because no matter how much we want it i think the network would get alot of hastle. and maybe what happend was for the best

For such a young singer, she was great.
I’m speaking of Alaina Whitaker. I was very upset to see her booted off. It’s
hard to say who should’ve been, but not her that’s for sure.

It was horrible that Alaina Whitaker had to go. She was a great singer—Definately much better than most of the girls who remained there. And while I really like Amanda, I think she deserved to go home more than Alaina did. She was one of my favorites… I just hope Jason Castro wins, now that Alaina is gone. Let’s hope that She has a great music career in front of her! She certainly has the talent.

I was sorry to see Alaina go and was really surprised by it.

I think that people should be allowed to vote for more than one contestant, but only once for each.

Maybe we’ll be lucky and they’ll bring her back for one more chance.

If I didn’t think American Idol was fixed at times in the past,I do now. There is no way that Alaina Whitaker should have gone at this time. Her voice was outstanding and compared to some of the others,it’s just not feasible. Even with a bad choice of song. I’m not as interested now as I was before, and haven’t missed but a few shows since it started.Maybe there are politics with this too.

I am starting to wonder if they are not setting up this show in some way. Last night was absolutely insane. There is not a chance that I would have guessed Alaina would have gone home. She was my favorite. By far it should have been another.

This is the first time I’ve gotten into American Idol since Carrie Underwood…she is the only true success story so far. It seems this year most of the talent is on the girls side, but to my surprise one of the few guys that I thought had some real potential, Robbie, was voted off. I was also surprised that Amanda WASN”T voted off. I really don’t like anything about her performances. I was very disappointed to see the other girls go. Alaina was young but I think she has talent and would have liked to see her stay. Question…is this voting process flawless?

I really was shocked at the girls that went home. It’s very frustrating to see the wrong people go. This is the time to use all your votes to save the people that deserve to stay and don’t think that you don’t have to worry cause you know they will get lots of votes because they were sooo good…..because that’s not always true as last night proved with the girls.
