Jon is a great host that is not really accepted by the Hollywood community. He’s not one of them so he gets less than good treatment and reception and it bleeds thru to audience as their responses are filtered thru h’wood audience present.
His show is awesome and needed for all those who want to participate in our republics political process !!!

Your focus determines your reality.

If an Oscar-host in the past focused on silliness, then he would joke about silliness… If the host focused on stereotypes and celebrity mannerisms, then he would joke within impersonations… Jon Stewart’s focus is often of a politically satirical nature, and so his jokes appropriately reflected this. The fact that his political views were different from those of several viewers does NOT mean that his performance was bad, or that he wasn’t funny.

Personally, I thought he was awesome.

I thought Jon was AWFUL. Maybe the writers didn’t have enough time to give him good material, however,he’s done better on his own show than on the Oscars. Bring back either Billy Crystal or Whoopi Goldberg

Jon Stewart is a perfect example of why the Oscars continues to lose viewership. No one really cares about his political views yet he continues to have all of his jokes written around them. The entertainers need to get back to entertaining.

Jon Stewart was absolutely the worst. My God, is this the best Hollywood can come up with? I switched it off after 5 minutes and I’ll never watch it again if he comes back.

Jon Stewart was terrible. After a couple of minutes, I changed the channel and never went back. I rather watch Pride and Prejudice on PBS than to listen to his dribble. Billy Crystal was the BEST. So I decided to get the highlights from EXTRA! GREAT JOB, EVERYBODY!!!!!

Jon was the worst I have ever seen. I’m 77 years old & have seen alot of them.

Billy Crystal was the best. When will he be back ? Billy is a true funny guy, a great performer. No one else comes close.
Certainly not Jon Stewart, I don’t think he was funny at all. Boring…

DID NOT LIKE STEWART AT ALL. BILLY CRYSTAL DID A GREAT JOB. WHY DID YOU GET RID OF HIM.
STEWART WAS BORING.

I enjoy a good laugh. I dont think he is funny. some of his “schtick” was awful. the oscars are a high class event and good humor is always welcome but there seemed to be a real drab ho-hum feeling in the air. the show was way too long and Stewart contributed to the boredom.
