Britney Rejects Dad's Control; Court Battle Looming

As Britney Spears' 72-hour mental evaluation gets extended to a forced 14-day hospitalization, her lawyers will head to court to fight an order giving dad Jamie conservatorship over her.

On Friday, a judge granted control over Brit's personal and financial affairs to Jamie after she was committed to the psych ward of UCLA Medical Center. A court typically grants this kind of control when a person is deemed incapable of handling their own affairs. The judge also granted a temporary restraining order against Sam Lufti.

Now, amid reports that Britney doesn't trust her father, her attorneys will reportedly appear in court to ask that Jamie's powers of control be removed.

In addition to that battle, another custody hearing is scheduled for today.

I am so tired of hearing about Britney Spears, she needs help but following her around is just feeding her ego and adding to the problem. I have always enjoyed watching EXTRA but untill you get off the Britney stories I have decided to stop watching your program.

This judge needs to keep the father in control of his daughter’s LIFE, and make sure this Sam fella is history!

And make sure this Sam fella gives back all that was stolen from Britney’s house while she was on her way to the hospital for the second time. I do believe after the breakin the locks were changed!!!
