NEXT: Who Should Take Home the Oscar?

Hi Dayna,
So many people have encouraged me to enter your swap places. I live in Wisconsin and it’s really cold here. You can learn how to run a snowblower. I work as a teacher at a daycare so that would be right up your alley. I also have 2 kids Jordan who will be 9 March 15th (Mark’s birthday) and Kaylee who will be 13 (help me) on February 25th. So you might have to help with birthday planning. Next you will have to put up with my husband Drew, but he doesn’t bite. I also have a sweet dog Frisbee and a cute cat Layla. I would love to do your job. Do I get to stay at your house?

Hi Dayna and Extra,

I am a 35 year old stay-at-home mother of 2 little girls, ages 4 1/2 and 2yrs. old. Originally from Seattle, I moved to Los Angeles 14 years ago to pursue my dreams of acting. After a few years I gave it up to pursue my other important dream, raising a family. I am grateful for the life I have- a husband who is secure in his job, 2 healthy and happy children, and a home ( albeit, very small) to call our own. What my life lacks is GLAMOUR. I don’t need much, but just a little bit could go a LONG way. My days are spent in sweatpants and t-shirts, making meals, getting kids off to preschool, hitting the gym ( working on losing the last 15 lbs of a 75 lb. gain with my first pregancy), running errands, changing diapers, wiping bottoms, and trying to maintain something of a clean house. I haven’t had a manicure in 3 years- why bother when I’m CONSTANTLY washing my hands and dishes? I’m not looking to change my life- but I could sure use a little break from the daily routine. Having my hair and makeup done, wearing some pretty clothes, and spending a day in front of the cameras standing next to Mark McGrath would fit the bill quite nicely. No doubt my girls would think it neat to watch Mom on tv, but I would like to use the opportunity to show them ( and perhaps remind myself?) that there is more to me than what they see, and being a mother doesn’t have to mean being “glamour-less”!

It is the second time, that you didn’t mentioned, the actor, Daniel Day Lewis, first you never mentioned him,as he won the Golden Globe as best actor, now you didn’t, that he got also an oscar nomination!
I find this totaly disreseptful to the most wonderful actor on this planet.

Hey Dayna! I don’t have a sad story to tell you about my life like some of the other entries I have read, instead, I have an awesome life, so I think you would have a great time switching places with me. I used to be a kindergarten teacher - now that might be a little difficult - but now I am a real estate agent and I work out of my home office. Being my own boss and having two responsible teen-aged boys allows me to get up when I want, exercise, have a relaxing bath or shower, and then take as long as I like with my morning cup of coffee. My boys make their own breakfasts and drive themselves to school, then they have wrestling practice after school and get home around 6pm. When my husband is home (he’s a pilot) we all sit down and have a family dinner or go out to a nice restaurant together. When we get home, my sons do their homework, have some downtime, and go to bed. My husband and I have a glass of wine together and curl up to a good movie. My job involves meeting great people, showing homes, and wearing great clothes! :) Why do I want to switch places with you when I have a great life, myself? Well, I think I would have fun at your job and you would enjoy mine. I know it probably makes for more entertaining television if you trade places with a housewife with tons of laundry (my sons do their own) and several crying children, instead of with me who has a mansion in Texas and a gorgeous husband, but who says you can’t enjoy the experience, right? Please consider me - I’ll learn a lot about your occupation and you’ll do a great job at mine! You may have to attend my sons’ wrestling tournament, if you don’t mind (they’re very exciting and really fun)! You’ll definitely be the hottest mom there! Thanks, Tonja Taylor

I would love to go to Hollywood to visit the set of Extra, but I don’t want to trade places with Dayna.
