Hillary Clinton Finally Talks About Bill's Affair

For the first time since the scandal, Hillary Clinton is opening up about her husband Bill's affair and how it rocked their marriage.

The presidential hopeful talked candidly on "The Tyra Banks Show" about Bill's affair with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

"I never doubted Bill's love for me ever, and I never doubted my faith and my commitment to our daughter and our extended family," she told Tyra in an episode that airs Friday.

She continued, "I really had to dig down deep and think hard about what was right for me, what was right for my family."

But did she struggle with feelings of humiliation?

"The momentary feelings-- you know, you are mad, you are really upset, you are disappointed - all of that goes through your mind." she said. "I have found you really shouldn't make decisions in the heat of those moments."

But what does she say to critics who blast that she should have left him?

"I say you have to be true to yourself," Clinton said. "No one story is the same as any other story. I don't know your reality. I can't possibly substitute my judgment for yours. You have to do what is right for you and that may not be what anybody else believes."

I cannot even believe some of you people are still trying to play the “Hilary should have left bill” card as a standing ground for judgement on this election…there are SO MANY more important issues at hand with this country in the disaster that it is.. OH YEAH..lets vote for Obama who is inexperianced & all flash, or Mccain who is old & (quote from his OWN mouth) knows little about the economy, instead. Ms. Clinton is the obvious choice to lead this country out of recession and back into economic prosperity… she’s experianced, brilliant and CLEARLY not too old or all money, all talk, or all three.

I have 2 daughters 17 & 19. Hillary is not a role model I want them to follow. She sold out her self respect for political gain. It just wasnn’t one or even two affairs. It makes me wonder, what won’t she sell out for.

Hillary has my vote and as for what happened in her marriage should stay within her marriage. She forgave him so I feel everyone else should let it go and concentrate on more important issues.

I think Senator Clinton is phenomenal and she definitely has my vote. She is a brillant capable leader and there is no doubt in mind that she is going to be an extraordinary president. Not only is she well versed about all the issues that face our country today, but she has thorough well thought out plans to address such issues. Unlike Obama, Senator Clinton is not just an inspirational speaker, she has substance. I believe in Senator Clinton and I am confident that she can play a pivotal role in restoring the U.S. greatness. I have admired the Clintons for years and nothing would make me happier but to see them return to the White House. I’m rolling with Hilary until the wheels fall off.

I would never vote for Mrs. Clinton. I could care less about her marriage or her relationship with the former President. What I do care about is that she betrayed feminists everywhere by staying with him and let us not forget Monica was not his only affair remember Jennifer Flowers etc etc the list goes on and on.
She has had an unremarkable senate career and let us not forget how she voted on Iraq … the Clintons are reprehensible

I will vote for Hillary - I think she has the right idea for our country which is more than I can say for Obama! Hillary is not afraid to fight for what is right and I think she will be the best one for the job. Republicans have done nothing for this country but put us further in debt and in a war that will never end!

Hillary is a farce and a slight on all real hard working exemplary women! I have no respect for her after she found out about another affair and didn’t leave. The only common ground they have in that marriage is what the other can help them get. She stayed with him out of pure greed. It would be great to have a woman president but Hillary is the wrong woman to vote for. She really must the think the American people are stupid if they are going to believe that her and Bill’s marriage is wonderful and that he loves her. She doesn’t even love herself to have the dignity and integrity to leave him. To me she’s a woman who hasn’t sold her body but her soul to the highest bidder.

I will not vote for Hillary. But,airing her husbands affair (again) is just a tactic to take this focus off of others.
We do not need to forget 9-11. You can bet I will not vote for someone with a name that even sounds like he came from from IRAN!!!!

Vote for her? Not only no but, heck no. I have a conscience.

Cheryl Riley needs a “conscience check”.

I’m a one issue voter. The Democrats have made abortion a party position. Therefore, I can’t vote for a Democrat. Not even for dog catcher.

Were Mrs. Clinton inclined to run for dog catcher as a republican, I wouldn’t vote for her. She remains (apparently) blissfully unaware of her husband’s infidelity. Being a dog catcher is tough business and you need to be “sharp”! She obviously lacks the requisite intelligence.

This brings us back to the conscience problem. I can’t rightly saddle my fellow countrymen with a President who is unintelligent- it’s just not right, and it doesn’t matter how HOT I think she she is when she crys :( (sniff)…

We as a society need to remember what Hillary has done to believe in her marriage. Something that has been lost for so many years. Her husband Clinton thought he needed something new something different, and thats all it was. She believed in their vows, and thats why they are still together. She is the HEART of that RELATIONSHIP. Marriage is a comment. Regardless of bad. I respect her for who and what choices she made. I have yet to decide my vote, but I will say; My husband is a X-Ranger who chose to leave the army after 15 and half years because he didn’t agree with were it was going. Yes thats right, he gave up his retirement because of this. After several years he is over there, FIGHTING for our COUNTRY. I love my husband as Hillary does. It’s DEATH DO US PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hate the women, she only took the Senate position as a stepping stone. She is indecisive and sways any way she thinks will get her votes. She could not control Bill (and I am not referring to the Monica issue) and now she wants to control the whole country?

We do not have a monarchy in the United States of America. Our founding father General George Washington refused two terms because,”We are not an monarchy,” he said. Now Queenie Hillary and King Billary want another eight years. Come on folks, as Bill says, “given a brake, is this a fairy tale.” Bill cann’t keep it his pants, he attack more woman than Monica. Hollywood loves these fairy tales. Bill calls Obama a fairy tale, but he loves his wife! Did not cheat!

I agree with Whitney. I’m against Hilary winning the presidential race.

But, I’d love to see a woman (of course not Hilary) in the White House!

I’m sorry—I thought Extra was an entertainment show. When did it become a political campaign venue? Unlike too many people, I have no reason to “hate” Hilary nor do I plan to move to another country if she is elected. I prefer her lead opponent. But I really question why Extra is giving her so much coverage and promoting her appearance on Tyra. Seems like a huge free political advertisement to me. I assume you plan to give all other candidates equal time? It would be more meaningful than the incessant Brit watch. Please get out of the political arena and let the candidates duke it out on an even field.

I was a democrat my entire life, voting for Bill Clinton twice. When Bill Clinton signed the partial-birth abortion bill making it legal, I abandoned my party. Bill Clinton’s affairs were moronic and selfish, but his disregard for women and unborn children was “vilest of the vile”. As much as I was saddened for Hilary Clinton being betrayed by her husband, I know that her views on life are right in line with his. I would never vote for her, and I certainly wouldn’t vote for her because I felt sorry for her.

Hilary will get my vote. Her intelligence and ability to lead will give this country what it hasn’t had for the past eight years. Sure, she gained a lot of insight during Bill’s presidency. As First Lady, she was exposed to many situations that will serve her well as President. I could care less about the state of her marriage. It isn’t any of my business. My only concern is her ability to lead this country away from the global debacle that has been the Bush era and restore our formerly good name to the rest of the world.
