I have to agree with Tiffany and Diane on this one. Low-fat or non-fat milk does not contain more sugar than any other milk, nor is it added in. Lactose is a naturally occuring sugar found in all milks. Low-fat or skim milk only have less fat and cholesterol. EXTRA should get a real expert to give advice based on the facts.

DO NOT LISTEN TO JACKIE WARNER!!! Milk has natural sugar in it (lactose), and skim milk has no more sugar than whole milk—just less fat and cholesterol. They DO NOT take out the fat and add sugar. I’m very disappointed in Extra for running this story and relying on someone’s ‘advice’ just because they are on a reality tv series. Please check your facts next time and get a real experts advice.

I want to say that the info that your “fitness expert” gave about adding sugar to milk especially low fat is incorrect!!!! She has the facts wrong.
ALL milk including half and half has lactose. It is NOT added but occurs naturally in milk. Skim milk is the best choice not half and half.
