Miley Cyrus' Advice to Teens: 'Decide Who You Want to Be'

Miley Cyrus is officially the queen of the teens.

Her Best of Both Worlds tour has been the hottest ticket of 2007, with parents paying thousands of dollars for their kids to see Hannah Montana rock the stage.

So how does the 15-year-old star keep her head on straight? With a lot of help from her dad, Billy Ray.

"The only people that you really have, that I learned, are your family, because they love you no matter what," Miley told "Extra."

And a little-known fact about the singing sensation? Her real name is Destiny Hope. She was nicknamed Miley because she smiled so much as a kid.

Now she has advice to the millions of fans who look up to her.

"With yourself, I think you have to decide the kind of person that you really want to be, and for me, it's just a sweet girl," she said.

TO i hate miley- what are you doing watching her videos!?!? if you dont like her, no one is forcing you to. But leave the girl alone and find something else to do with your time.

I think Miley is great. Shes going to make mistakes, shes not perfect and no one should expect her to be. Shes so poised and mature for her age, that is why people probably think she ‘act mature’ cause truth is, she is. Shes around adults most of her time, its bound to happen.

Until, i see picture of her naked, drinking, doing drugs, i’d say shes ok. Plus the way she talks about her family is really one in a million..

i so agree. teen idols these days arent like the ones years ago. the ones these days have no talent at all. they are known for being popular, not for their actual talent. did anyone watch the christmas day parade? miley performed a very popular song and she sounded horrible. its like if your on a disney or nickelodeon show you have to sing whether your good or not. its absurd. who would be stupid enough to support these “stars.” its sad that kids dont see that these actors have not talent at all. teen stars that do have talent are not on kids shows they are mostly in adult movies and shows but they are the ones with the most talent. who would seriously pay thousands of dollars to see her in concert? miley is just the next hilary duff, which is not a good thing. in three years everyone will forget about her and move on to the next big joke in the teen world. miley says that hilary duff is her idol. how can someone with zero talent and phony be her idol? well they are both like that so it makes sense.

I think Miley is going to be another Britney or Paris or Lindsay. And the pics of her with her “bestfriend” were very disturbing and it did look like she was drunk! and what type of message is she giving the girls who look up to her by wearing 600 tons of make-up!? look at Emily Osment! she doesn’t wear 600 tons of make-up but she’s prettier than Miley! anyways…miley is just an ugly girl with no talent!
