Will 16-year-old Jamie Lynn and daddy-to-be Casey Aldridge tie the knot?

Casey's uncle, Odus Jackson, hopes the two take their time.

"Casey has said he would like to go ahead and get married as soon as possible, but there's a lot of water to go under the bridge before they can really get to that point," Jackson told "Extra."

He echoed the same sentiment to People.

"I hope they will stick it out and get married for the child's sake and their sake," he said. "But if they're not in love and it was just a fantasy, they don't need to make the same mistake twice."

Jackson also revealed that Mississippi native Aldridge, 18, was a "typical country boy" who never gave the family too many problems. But he said that when he flew out to California to be with Jamie Lynn on the set of "Zoey 101," he was bound to run into trouble.

"You know when you put boy and girl together, it don't work," he said. "Testosterone is tough to control."

I think everyone should just calm down for a second. Whatever happened, it happened in the past. Right? Why don’t we just give her a break? Like Sharon said before, leave the poor girl alone and just stop sticking our noses in her business. That’s what I think, anyway………..

I think what Jaimie did was stupid and selfish.She couldn’t spend a few bucks on a condom or pills and now she definently shouldn’t be a role model for teen girls. What would she be saying to them “hey get pregnant at 16 its ok I did”?? MAybe she will be a better mother than her sister and mother,or bad parenting skills just run in there family.

I think that they should get maried for the benifit of their little angel. Jamie got pregnant and its nothing you can do about it but just wish her the best. And I think opposite.. I think she should not get fired off of Zoey 101 cause everyone make mistakes and if you were in this position you would want another chance too.

Zoey 101 should be cancelled or re-cast. I will discontinue Disney if they keep her. I will no longer allow my 10 year old to watch it. She’s not the first teen to get pregnant, but she does NOT deserve to be looked up to by millions of younger girls. And her Mom with a PARENTING book?? Are you KIDDING me? It must be a ‘How NOT to raise your children book’. Look are BOTH of her girls…..Lynne…..stick to gardening or something because raising CHILDREN is NOT your strong suit. It’s truly pathetic…handed everything and throw it all away for 60 seconds of ‘fun’. I wish her the best with her baby, but do NOT want her on Disney any longer….she’s ALL grown up now…ready or not.

I understand. People do make mistakes. We are all human. As a mother, I wish and hope for more …more in life for my child. I sincerely hope that my daughter does not get into the same situation as Jaime Lynn. I would feel disappointment and hurt, but I would still be there for my child. All I can say is that I am glad she did not take the easy way out and have an abortion. I give her that credit to make a mature decision and take on the resposibility. However, Jamie Lynn for a long time has been a role model for young girls. Jamie Lynn now being pregnant is not whom I want my daughter to look up to. I would prefer her show “Zoey 101” to be cancelled. She will now live an “adult life” with adult consequences. She no longer fit nor can be a role model for young girls. After all, teen pregnancy is not a positive message to send to young girls. Maybe Jamie Lynn can continue to act in more mature roles in the future away from Nickalodean and Disney. Thank God we still have Miley Cyrus left as a positive role model! :)

celebrities are people too they are alowed to make mystake come on people let the poor girl alone and make her own decision… Im sure that she is not the only one that had sexual intercourse at the age of 16 or even younger… stop looking at the bad in people and judging them because they made a poor judgement on their live and try to live you own as better as you can…

Jamie Lynn is immature and makes bad decisions just like Britney. Britneys mad because she upstaged her and did exactly what she did. Screw up her life. They both need to find God and grow up!! Poor parenting shows in the Spears family. Not enough structure or discipline too worried about the Jones.Jamie Lynn should be kicked off Disney!! Okay we all know Jamie did something VERY wrong!! But I dont think she should put it up for adoption, that could make it worse. She said it was a accident, but how could haveing a baby be a accident? I think now Jamie and Casey just need prayers!

I know some parents will not let their young children watch that show now. She should get out of that show and give up the child for adoption. SHe is too young and stupid for a baby. She was a role model for young girls. She made a big mistake and will be paying for it forever. The whole family is crazy.

i Think she is way to young!!! Look at her in zoey 101 she looks 12 and so sweet that is not her she not responsable just for her sake she should try a little to take control of herself because when she has that baby and gets married and she wil start doing things that poeple her age should not dobecause if not we have another brittny spears. she should be able to enjoy her years at a teen and when she keeps on goign like this she will never get to live it normaly.

yeah i think that her being jelous of her sister makes sence. the thing tat i find funny is that the 2 met in church!
but in a red carpet interview i saw she was asked how she liked being an aunt… and… she …. hesitated!, the way i see it is that if she feels weird about being an aunt mother hood will be a shock!! it will be interesting about what more news comes in the future. i just hope that she is not going to make the same mistakes as her sister.
