After 11 years as husband and wife, Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn are splitting up.
Their rep confirmed to People that the couple will divorce, but didn't say why.
Sean, 47, and Robin, 41, tied the knot in 1996 and had been dating since the early '90s. They have two children together, Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16.

I am sorry to see them split. However, he is talented actor. He has never been the perfect angel. Remember, he has been arrested and hit Madonna. I do not know if people know that or not. He looked like he has cleaned up in the past and has turned over a new leaf in recent years. Hope all goes with both of them.
I knew something was up when Brad Pitt walked off “State of Play.” It was obvious that Angelina was jealous of Robin Wright Penn. Robin was an up and coming divorcee. Brad always a brilliant gentleman, cited script differences during a writer’s strike to walk away from the film costarring Robin Wright Penn. Brangelina made a good move to New Orleans together. Sean and Robin I hope each of you has a fantastic 2008!
What a shame. They go so good together..and both are top-notch actors.
Instead of getting married I think they should call it “going steady” like they did when I was in high school. It isn’t for better or worse its just temporary.
Somehow I feel sad about this because I felt that they were a good couple and they have been together for sometime now.
I am sorry to see yet another Hollywood marriage split up.
