Scarlett Johansson is fuming mad about reports that she’s had plastic surgery, and now she’s threatening legal action.

The “Lost in Translation” star is vehemently denying an Us Weekly story that insinuates she went under the knife to fix her nose. The report even quotes Scarlett as saying, "I definitely believe in plastic surgery. I don't want to be an old hag. There's no fun in that."

But now Scarlett, 23, has fired off an angry letter, saying, "I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel mislead.” She adds that she feels compelled to “take immediate legal action.”

Her rep calls the story “outrageous and defamatory.”
