Oprah to Run for Vice President?

Just days after teaming up with Barack Obama for his presidential campaign, Oprah Winfrey has heated up rumors that she’s actually preparing to run for office.

“Extra” put the TV titan on the hot spot at “The Great Debaters” premiere in Hollywood, where she and friend Gayle King opened up about her political passion.

Hi - I agree that Obama is far too young, inexperienced and the fact that he is a muslim says it all for me. My husband says “once a muslim, always a muslim” unless you renounce Mohammad publicy. To be a muslim claiming to be a christian, is totally ridiculous. How can he be both? From what we know of muslim “ways” (dare I say laws?) is this: you can steal, kill, rape, pillage, but never renounce Mohammad or you will be killed. He is a lying muslim because he can’t be a christian because NO ONE has heard him renounce Mohammad and claim Jesus as his Savior. Ifhe ever did that, probably the KKK or some other muslim would get him for saying it. Guess he’s a scaredy cat to do it publicly. Oprah is right in some ways.Shes exercising her freedom of speech, which our country guarantees us, except, of course, for those jerks who complained about prayer in school, “In God we trust” on the money, the 10 Commandments , etc in or on buildings that have been theresince our country was formed. We need someone like Jesse Jackson to “rally his troops” when people start taking away rights such as the above mentioned ones that have been taken away. If he helped in those arguments, we probably would still have prayer and Bible reading in schools. The deal about no prayers at the flag pole outside school is totally ridiculous also. Why do we AMERICANS let these jerks get away with such garbage?? Please take an interest in what’s happening outside your own home/work/family and save our rights now or we will lose them all for sure. Another point about Obama- Hesays he’s a christian, well, I could say I’m a car-does that MAKE me a car?!!I forgot to mention that above and when I tried to go back and add it, it started erasing all my words. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense, but I’m durned mad about our rights being taken away a little at a time, and sure as heck don’t want to see the white house painted black if Obama ever won!!

Everyone has a right to their beliefs and that includes Oprah. I’m pretty sure if we had the power or the influence to put someone in a ranking position we would not back off the chance to do so. So whether you think he makes a good president or not is your choice so don’t knock Oprah for using the power and influence she has to push people to make a decision she thinks is best for the United States. Besides, you don’t want people to judge you cause you cant spell Skye.

I think Oprah is out for whoever can benefit her. It is for sure she would be named to some kind of office. I too agree she is behind him because he is black. Ask her if she would be all for him if he was white. But then of course knowing her, she would say of course, race has nothing to do with it. I have nothing against an African American in office, I think Powell would be great. At least back someone that has some experience.

Obama has no experience and no power to change Washington, so we’ll have a President in gridlock. Also one who has admitted using hard drugs. Nice. Oprah should stay out of politics and continue to lift the human spirit and her net worth. She just wants to say that she got the first black man voted into presidency becuase of her. Middle American will never go for it. She’ll lose a couple of loyal fans, me being one of them.

The rumor that Oprah was Obama’s running mate was started by the same idiots that once insisted Jesse Ventura would be running for president. While you’re at it, why not ask Chuck Norris if he’s going to be Mike Huckabee’s running mate.

I think that its great that she’s steeping out for what she believes in. I do think she cares about his message, and I think that to hold it against her that she supports him, just because in your mind she supports him because he is black is wrong. She is a talk show host. SHe is paid to speak her mind, and she has every right in the world to support him.

She would never win. Although I liked Oprah she lost a loyal customer by backing Obama. She still has not convinced me that she loves his message. I beleive she is backing him becuase he is an african-american. That’s wrong.
