Lynne Spears' Parenting Book Postponed

Lynne Spears' upcoming parenting book has been postponed.

A spokesperson for publisher Thomas Nelson said, "The book is delayed indefinitely. It's delayed, not canceled."

The book, originally slated for a 2008 release, was put on hold last week. Yesterday, news broke that Lynne's 16-year-old daughter Jamie Lynn was pregnant.

Publishers' Weekly described the book as "Lynne Spears's personal story of raising high-profile children while coming from a low-profile Louisiana community." The book was slated for a 2008 release.

How about worrying about your children instead of writing a book about parenting. Both Britney and Jaime need guidance instead of all this terrible publicity. Be a mother, not a friend!

Dear American,

To whom this may concern. I have a story to tell, just when I thought the civil rights movement was over I was wrong. I am from the state of Ohio. I was born and raised in the city of Dayton. I am a graduate of Central State University. I have been a church musician since i was 13 years old. That’s enough about me let me get to the point. My wife’s’ grandmother passed away about a month ago. So, my father-in-law asked me to help get his mother’s house together. I said sure, it would be my pleasure. A couple of my friends and I went down to Rockhill, South Carolina. We went into Home Depot to get some things. We went to check out. I went to pay for everything and the cashier said my I see your card. I said sure. She looked at my card and said at least your name isn’t Kunta Kenta. I said hum and said you like that movie she said yes I love that movie I love I love I love it. She said I love the movie roots she laughed harder and harder. I just couldn’t believe it. In this day and time. I went to the car and cried like a baby. Lord help me this is still going on in 2007. I am a educated black man I didn’t think an adult would crack on my name . I guess 50-60 white female cashier at Home Depot loves not just likes to see black people as slaves. Everyone in the area was laughing at me . They laughed me out of the store. Rockhill, South Carolina store id # 1114 , Phone# ( 803) 909-2420) Corporate# 1800-553-3199.

Sincerely, Kinta Johnson

The fact that Britney Spears is having so many problems raising her children should have indicated to the publishers of Lynne Spears’ book that Lynne was not a mother to be emulated.
