Could Jamie Lynn's baby daddy be in trouble with the law?

That's the question being raised on the Internet following the news that Jamie Lynn, 16, is pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldridge's child. Aldridge is reported to be 18 or 19, and depending on the state, he could face criminal prosecution.

In Louisiana, it is illegal to have sex "with consent between someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17." If he was under 19, then he might be charged with a misdemeanor.

But a spokesperson from the local sheriff's department in Kentwood, Louisiana, has said that no complaint has been filed in the case and "no criminal investigation is currently underway."

Why? Why? Why? Jamie WAS so AWESOME to me. I thought she would be the smart one rather Than her 24/7 rehab sister. She COULD of made something out of herself. She Has A new zoey 101 movie coming out Im gonna be Looking for a little pudge when I see it. why jamie WHY???

The difference is that in most states, including Louisianna the legal age for consent is at least 17 years of age. That’s why they call it “jail bait”.
