Britney Leaves Friend Behind at Gas Station

Yesterday, Britney Spears didn't show up to her court-ordered deposition because of a "medical condition." Several reports say the pop star was suffering from "high anxiety" after seeing the media frenzy outside her house.

But last night, cameras caught the troubled singer cruising around Los Angeles until the early morning hours.

A smiling Britney pulled into a gas station and told X-17 that she was "feeling better" as her friend pumped the gas. She even rolled down her window to look at pictures of herself on one paparazzo's camera, but called them "horrible."

Suddenly, Brit sped off, leaving the hapless friend behind! The woman stood in shock for several minutes as the pack of paparazzi waited for Britney to return. One cameraman even assured the woman, "Don't worry, she's coming back!"

Finally, Brit pulled her white Mercedes up to the gas station and opened the door for her. The two then sped off.

Will the WGA Strike Doom the Golden Globes?

The Golden Globe nominations signal the start of awards season in Hollywood, sending actors, writers, producers and fans into a frenzy as the stars prepare to flood the red carpet.

But the Writers Guild of America strike has put the Globes in a predicament. Without writers, there won't be any dialogue for the stars on stage. Actors who are supporting the WGA, like the cast of "Grey's Anatomy," might not show up.

The Globes has requested a waiver from the WGA, but has not yet received it. A waiver would grant the awards show a reprieve when the ceremony airs Jan. 13.

The WGA has already granted a waiver to the Screen Actors Guild's 14th annual awards.

Katie: Tom 'Made My Life'

Katie Holmes is telling the new issue of In Style that her marriage to Tom Cruise has completed her.

"I try every day to let him know how much I love him," Katie says of her husband of one year. "It gets better and better. It has made my life."

Calling her love with Tom, 43, "all-encompassing," Katie, who turns 29 next week, says falling for her superstar husband was easy.

"It happened quickly, but I was certain it was what I wanted," she says. "I never felt overwhelmed. I thought, Okay, good. Here we go."

Brit a No-Show Due to 'Medical Conditon'

Britney Spears did not show up to her deposition today, and Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said she's suffering from some sort of "medical condition."

Kaplan didn't elaborate on the condition, though there are reports it could be anxiety. The deposition has been rescheduled.

Kaplan indicated that he'll pursue a court sanction against Britney for not showing up.

George Clooney Flies to Rome for Darfur Honor

Two days after they were spotted in Dubai, George Clooney and girlfriend Sarah Larson have touched down in Rome. The couple flew to Italy and enjoyed a romantic dinner at Il Bolognese restaurant last night to celebrate his latest honor.

Tomorrow, George and good friend Don Cheadle will receive the 2007 Peace Summit Award for their tireless work raising awareness about the ongoing genocide in Darfur, which is still raging out of control.

"We haven't succeeded at all," George said about the honor. "So until we succeed, until we've done it, I'll take it and keep it in a nice place and I won't display it until we've found an end to this."

Tom Cruise Joins Will Smith at 'I Am Legend' Premiere

Last night's "I Am Legend" premiere brought Hollywood legends to the Big Apple as Will Smith unveiled his action-packed thriller.

"I don't think people are going be prepared for what this film is," an enthusiastic Will told "Extra" on the red carpet. "It's going to be very different from what people sit down and expect."

And just one day after cheering Will on in Hollywood, good friend Tom Cruise was on hand to show his support once again.

"Of course, that's my man!" Will exclaimed. "You know he's going to represent!"

Added Tom, "It's always fun hanging out with Will."

The rumor mill continues to turn that Victoria Beckham is expecting her third child with hubby David, despite repeated denials from her rep and Victoria's own insistence to Larry King that she's not.

But her fellow Spice Girls haven't done much to quell the rumors!

At a concert last week, video captured Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell pointing to Posh's belly and yelling something that sounded like "She's pregnant."

Victoria has made no secret of her desire to have another baby. Last month, she told Ellen DeGeneres, "I would like a girl. It would be great.”

She and soccer stud David already have three boys, Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 5, and Cruz, 2.

Charges Dropped Against Shia LaBeouf

"Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf won't face criminal charges for refusing to leave a Chicago drug store last month.

In a Chicago courtroom today, prosecutors read a letter from Walgreen Co. and a security company saying they don't want to continue the case. Shia's misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing has been dropped.

The actor was busted around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 4 after telling a security guard that he wouldn't budge from the Walgreens store. Police say the security guard wanted Shia to leave because he appeared to be drunk, but police never administered a sobriety test because he wasn't driving.
