Britney To Star in New Film?

The producers of a new film want Britney Spears to sign on for a starring role.

"Memoirs of a Medicated Child" stars Andy Dick and is currently in pre-production.

"Extra" has received the following statement from Tommy Parker, the director and producer of the film: "'Memoirs of a Medicated Child" is in pre-production, the film is featuring Andy Dick, Ross Tyler, Peter Iacangelo, Adam Ropp just to name a few.

"As far as the others chosen, there are many negotiations in place. Nothing is said and done until the ink is dry. We would gratefully welcome Ms. Spears aboard! Tommy Parker and crew feel that she would be a great asset to the film. She is very talented young woman and look forward to working with her."

Jessica Alba Engaged!

Jessica Alba is engaged to her boyfriend Cash Warren, her rep confirms to "Extra."

Earlier today, "Extra" had obtained new photos of Jessica wearing what appeared to be a diamond engagement ring on her left hand.

Last week, Jessica, 26, announced that she was pregnant with boyfriend Warren's child. Jessica met Warren, 28, on the set of "The Fantastic Four" in 2004.

Michael Lohan: Don't Judge Spears Family

Michael Lohan, no stranger to intense scrutiny, is speaking out about the Spears family in light of 16-year-old Jamie Lynn's pregnancy announcement.

“People just don’t realize what it’s like to live under the whirlwind that families like mine and the Spears and other families out there are caught up in," Lohan told "Extra." "It takes a lot to hold it together.”

But he does offer some words of wisdom. “Stand together," he insisted. "Stand by each other and don’t let anyone come between you.”

Lohan also cleared up rumors that Lindsay is dating "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier.

“He’s a friend. She went over there for dinner one night over the holidays for an hour or so. They drank water and she went home,” he said.

As for Lindsay, “She’s doing amazingly well.”

Mischa Barton Arrested for DUI

Mischa Barton has been busted for DUI.

"The O.C." starlet was arrested last night in West Hollywood after cops pulled her over. She was handcuffed at 2:46 a.m. and booked at 3:10 a.m.

She was also busted for driving without a valid license.

She has been released on $10,000 bail.

Brad and Angelina Do McDonald's for Christmas

While most people were dining on lavish meals on Christmas day, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie opted for something simpler: McDonald's.

The couple and their kids Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh were spotted driving through the fast-food chain in New Orleans and grabbing Happy Meals to go.

The next day, the clan went to see the family-friendly flick "The Water Horse," though little Shiloh was left at home. On the way home, the group reportedly ate at KFC.

Paris' Inheritance Going to Charity

Paris Hilton's potential bank account has been diminished following her grandfather's announcement that he's giving most of his fortune to charity.

Barron Hilton, the 80-year-old son of the founder of the Hilton hotel chains, will donate 97 percent of his $2.3 billion fortune to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, which supports projects that provide clean water in Africa, education for blind children and housing for the mentally ill.

Barron was reported to be "embarrassed" by Paris' behavior and feared she had tarnished the Hilton name. Instead of an estimated $100 million inheritance, the New York Daily News is reporting that Paris will now inherit $5 million.

Julia Roberts Admits Shooting Bikini Scene was Nerve-racking

Though it’s war at the box office as her new movie “Charlie Wilson’s War” battles other holiday fare, Julia Roberts’ mega-watt smile says it all: After taking a break from Hollywood, she’s at peace in her life as a wife and mother of three.

Julia was four months pregnant while shooting her famed bikini scene in the war drama, but she admits she was nervous about breaking the news to her director Mike Nichols and his wife Diane Sawyer.

“The day before we shot that scene, Mike Nichols and Diane, his wife, had come to our house for lunch,” she explains. “They're great friends of mine and Danny’s, and Danny said, ‘Should we tell them our exciting news today?” That's a great idea, but really in the back of my mind I was thinking, ‘Hopefully Mike won't make me put on that bathing suit!”

Besides baring all, there was a lot of kissy-face and butt-grabbing between Julia and Tom Hanks in the film.

So who had the better butt?

“I think we’re pretty on par,” she jokes.

Britney Spends the Night with Paparazzo, Smokes at Gas Station

As if things couldn’t get any wilder in the life of Britney Spears, the pop star just upped the ante.

In one weekend, Britney was caught smoking at a gas station, getting into a verbal smackdown on the phone, throwing her camera at a pack of paparazzi and then taking a lensman home for the night.

On Saturday, Britney was seen driving aimlessly through Los Angeles before seeing a mural on the side of the road that she decided to take pictures of. But when paparazzi jumped out of their cars to snap Britney instead, she became enraged, cursing and throwing her camera at them. When her memory stick popped out, she then accused the lensmen of stealing it.

Michelle Rodriguez Reports to Jail

"Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez has reported to jail for violating her probation in a DUI case. She'll spend six months in the same Lynwood, Calif. correctional facility where Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan spent time behind bars.

In October, she was sentenced to jail after admitting that she violated her probation by failing to provide proof that she'd completed her community service requirement. She also drank alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol-monitoring device.
