Donda West's 911 Tape

"Extra" has obtained the 911 call made after Kanye West's mother, Donda, was found unresponsive in her home.

In the tape, an unidentified woman is heard crying, "She's having a heart attack...she complained she couldn't breathe."

As the 911 operator asks questions, the caller pleads for Donda to wake up and says, "We're trying to do CPR on her."

Donda died Nov. 10 following multiple surgeries by Dr. Jan Adams. Adams has maintained that he did nothing wrong.

An autopsy report is pending.

Those women wasted SO much time being idiots when they should have just listened to the 9-1-1 dispatcher from the start & followed his instructions. I guess they didn’t know the brain cannot be starved of oxygen for long.

OMG the girl kept saying huh? huh? huh?

The woman should have listened to what the professional was saying, maybe she would have had a chance.
Huh huh Huh?

This is a very ghastly post I am very tearful for this woman’s life, and this is definitely not dignified. I am very sorry and feel remorse that this kind of personal thing ended up on the Internet.

This women did not know what the hell they were doing. All she kept saying was “huh, huh, huh”, like a freaking idiot. I feel bad for Donda to have been taken care of people who had no type of training at all. They are to blame not the 911 operator….

i’m just going to leave a comment, i just want to make it clear that i’m not interested, and will never be, in hearing the audio clip attached to this news post. i don’t know why such stuff surfaces the net and makes the news.. it’s something personal, something that perhaps shouldn’t even be heard by the West family, and yet it’s on the net being heard and commented upon by everyone!.. i guess it’s the price for being famous :/.. such a shame.

i don’t know but i have called 911 before and some of them are just unhelpful & then won’t send help or help you. someone is dying and they are worrying about being on speakerphone, disgusting!

i must add another comment based on a very, very, very intelligent person, no doubt; W questioned why the 911 op did not ask for someone else in the room…this again would have and could have been a great safety net to try to save her life. this could have been another way to have taken control. mr. operator i know u cannot save everyone but do please take the criticism and learn. i cannot say the black callers were not look down upon, because during my medical training i witnessed the worse of the worse forms of racism and discrimination against black people. again, god bless everyone and hopefully one day a different color, accent, etc. from the norm will not have to even be remotely considered and/or factor in/out. merry holidays.

I reckon the operator was so rude.

the 911 operator seems a bit condesending, i am not sure if i spelled that correctly. but as a person with medical doctorate, i.e. a M.D. and a mom of very active kids, i believe the outcome could have been alot different if he had taken command of the situation in the first few seconds. he took too long to get command of an emergent situation. of course, the people with donda west were scared and freaked out…most folks are in emergent situations. this is a skill that is so important for 911 operators-the skill of taking contol. god bless everyone involved, no one wanted this death to occur…please ignore all the sensationalism of the media.

It was rumored Donda West did not go to after care facility because a family member that was a nurse was taking care of her. As a former healthcare provider if CPR were performed correctly the result may have been different. The only way to know is by the autopsy results. I think this sheds light to the danger of any surgical procedure and her procedures were extensive. I would have thought a competent healthcare professional would have been at her aide. A tragic situation. Under the circumstances the caregivers panicked, it took 32 seconds to state she was having a heartattack. The 911 operator was very professional. This was absolutely frustrating to hear, because the caller was not listening. My prayers go out to the family. Please anyone that reads this post. Learn CPR, you could save a life!!!

the women were not listening ,they were saying they know how to do cpr

its very inappropriate that they posted this its very emotional to the west family ,who would want their family member’s final moments to be broadcasted like its a movie

the operator is trying to explain to them but their is no racial implication in this story

Wow, where do I begin…I can say the women that were carrying for Dr. West did a horrible job listening to the instructions provided to them by the operator. This is one of those things that is hard to speculate on because if we were in the shoes of the women on the phone, how would we have reponded to the situation. My prayers go out to the “West” family, and this is just sad. Dr. West was not only a great mother, but she was also a great human being. One would be hard pressed to find a person more loving & caring than Dr. West….

The 911 Dispatcher did his job in a calm and professional manner. He was just dealing with two stumbling idiots who would NOT listen to instructions that could have saved the woman’s life. I know, I know….it was a shock to the women but Damn! Why call 911 for help then refuse to answer questions or follow instructions?!

LISTEN GUYS. Instead of complaining that EXTRA has no morals and principles by posting up a 9-1-1 tape of the incident, think about it! There have been other leaks on the internet that had the same content by EXTRA and other news agencies as well. But it seems that you guys are not complaining about those and care about this particular one because this is one of the more publicized media deaths. This is a NEWS/GOSSIP AGENCY of COURSE they will post up anything that has to do with events that are controversial.

First and foremost, those who are making these hideous comments regarding her FAMILY are the true IDIOTS; Everyone does not respond to emergencies in the same manner! Anyone with a brain and ears can hear the desperation in their voices. How would you feel if you were helplessly watching a loved one die before your eyes?!! Although the 911 operator sounded disconcerning, he was simply trying to do his job and maintain control of the situation. People are always so quick to judge others actions until they themselves are placed in those situations. I pray tragedy never enters your home, but if so, please have your 911 tape released in order that we can rate your skills!!
