Oprah Did Not Recommend Dr. Adams to Donda West

In a statement to "Extra," Oprah Winfrey's representative responds to claims made that she initially recommended Dr. Jan Adams to Donda West.

Winfrey's representative says, "The reports... are absolutely untrue. Oprah Winfrey did not personally introduce nor recommend Dr. Jan Adams to Donda West. Dr. Adams taped a segment of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' on October 28, 2003. Donda West appeared with her son during a taping of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' on April 27, 2005. Oprah Winfrey has not been in touch with either Dr. Adams or Donda West since their respective appearances."

There are so many racist hateful people who will do anything to smear Oprah because they can’t stand to see a black woman become one of the richest, most admired, and most influential people on the planet. This woman overcame extreme poverty & abuse to have given hundreds of millions of dollars of her OWN hard earned money (according to Business Week)and the media jumps on every opportunity to attack her. Access Hollywood should be ashamed of themselves for broadcasting smears by anonymous sources, and exploiting someone’s death in such a disgusting way.

I cannot believe someone had the nerve to try and connect Oprah to this Dr. Adams, only because he appeared on her show a long time ago…way back in 2003. So in their silly minds, she must have introduced him and Kanye’s mom. Oh the craziness! It’s ok Oprah, most of us have common sense and know your haters are just trying to get you into trouble. And by the way, this Doctor has a show on the Discovery Channel, has been on the male version of “The View,” CNN, NBC and a whole lot more. Why try to only accuse Oprah? Seems like a smear campaign to me.

It is astonishing how envious, evil-minded, insecure and calculating persons have often committed their wretched unfulfilled lives on working tirelessly to bring down people who have worked so hard to overcome institutionalized constraints. Oprah has in recent years become the bouncing board for these malicious attacks. Why would Oprah want her successful Black sister, Dr. D. West dead?

The attempt to link Oprah to the circumstances surrounding the death of Dr. West is ludicrous! Oprah should not under any circumstances be accused of recommending nothing to Dr. West. With a doctorate in English, I am sure Dr. West did not need anyone else to make any decision relating to her life. Infact, no one needs a Doctorate to decide issues concerning life and death. In my view, Oprah’s witchhunters are frustrated with the fact that Oprah has shown exemplary diligence and honesty by clearing any messes that others’ she has trusted have committed. They are simply too angry that she is still standing! Dr. West did not need Oprah’s consent to proceed do to business with Dr. Adams or any other doctor for that matter.

In any case, we do not have all the facts! Moreover, even if there was any such a conversation between Oprah and Dr. West (which Oprah clearly says did not happen), this does not make her Dr. West’s killer.

Leave Oprah alone. She is a successful African-American woman, take it or leave it!

Go Oprah! Go Oprah! Go Oprah!

Oprah, you have overcome odds, and you are a nightmare to folk who have yet to come to grips with the fact that you are a reality! Let them howl, and as you keep your eyes on the prize! They will never be you! Period!

You are in my prayers Oprah.

I wonder if all these scandals suddenly coming out against Oprah Winfrey over the last 2 weeks have anything to do with her support of Barack Obama and the fact that the race for the Democratic party nomination is heating up. It wouldn’t surprise me at all. Politics is a very dirty business.

It seems that the press is on an ongoing compaign to try to discredit and bring down Oprah Winfrey. How far fetched it is to connect the death of Kanye West’s mother to Oprah?! Even if she is recommended the plastic surgeon (which she has said is untrue), should she be blamed for that too?!

Come on, people! You in the press aren’t satisfied enough with the recent accusation against her school and books featured on her show. You are committed to linking everything that has gone wrong or could possibly gone awry to Oprah. She is influential, but not the reason for everyone else’s misgivings.

That’s the price of success in this world — envious people trying always to bring you down.
