Nick Hogan Arrested on Reckless Driving Charge

Nick Hogan is facing criminal charges stemming from an August car crash that left his passenger with brain damage.

Hogan, 17, real name Nick Bollea, turned himself in to police today on a charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, a felony. He is currently being booked at the Pinellas County Jail in Florida.

A second driver, Daniel Jacobs, is being issued a summons to appear in court for a reckless driving charge.

Investigators have concluded that Hogan was driving his vehicle recklessly at the time of the Aug. 26 crash, which critically injured his 22-year-old passenger John Graziano. Police have also interviewed several witnesses who say that Hogan was racing Jacobs before he lost control and wrapped his Toyota Supra around a tree.

Hogan was driving at speeds up to 60 mph on slick roads with posted signs of only 40 mph. He is also being charged with use of a motor vehicle in commission of a felony, operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher and illegal window tint.

Hogan escaped with minor injuries. Graziano, a former Marine, will likely need medical care for the rest of his life.

Why hasn’t anyone played the episodes of “Hogan Know Best” where Hogan took Nick to the police station to show him tapes where kids were involved in accidents because he was worried about him or when he took his parents car without permission and sped out of the drive. Only to be pulled over by a cop who followed him back and warned Linda about his actions?? Do the research. Anyone that watch the show could have seen this coming. It’s just too bad that someone that served our country to keep us all free had to pay.

I hope they lay it on him. If I’m correct he’s had problems with speeding/racing in the passed. Why they never revoked his license…??? who knows. Given the fact that yes he is 17 and a 17 year old will be irresponsible but he seems to feel he is above everyone in thinking he won’t suffer consequences. Too bad the parents are too focused on stupid stuff like, a boy looking a Brooke or her outfits, to realize their son is truly an accident waiting to happen.

He deserves to be arrested, this is also sending a message to other irresponsible drivers.
