Must say this was my third time at the CA USA pageant - - - how terrible, between the obviously wrong judging, standing in the alley freezing, ladies bumping in to each other in evening gowns, and cameras filming us naked (we didn’t give permission for that and there were underaged girls in the dressing room).

Judging: There were a number of women that were not in top 15 that blew me away - Miss Bel Air, Miss Folsom, Miss Brentwood, Miss Coronado. Then the way the Top 15 was narrowed was very odd - - some amazing women were NOT included and performed better (in my humble opinion).

Logistics - freezing in the alley, being filmed in the nude, a DVD that now shows an incorrect outcome, the sponsors not being listed. Many of the ladies were able to attend due to these sponsor fees - - what on earth do they say to them!!!

The event was unorganized and poorly run, to try to set the record straight I feel they should refund our entry fees, make sure the inappropriate tapes are destroyed, provide the scores to the women involved so they can see for themselves how they and the other contestants ranked.

K2 Productions (Keith Morgan)produces the contests independently.

He encourages contestants to obtain their own sponsors, who were to be mentioned in the official program.
Of course they weren’t mentioned.

I wonder what will happen to the photos taken of the girls while changing & dressing. The girls protested, but the cameras kept clicking!

This whole thing smells to high heaven and should be investigated.

I think that the judges scores should be made public. This is very sad for all of the young women who are involved. And for those of you who are speaking down about Christina Silva, please have class. I have been very shocked at how many people have bad mouthed Christina simply because she is Latina.

Please do not assault Christina’s character because she is a beautiful young woman. Miss Silva is a class act and whatever happens she will go very far in life.

By the way, I’d like to mention that men were backstage while we were changing during both nights of competition. AND, on the night of finals, a camera crew (with MEN) was backstage filming us. Several of us told them to stop, but they wouldn’t. Remember, there were young ladies under the age of 18 there too. The pageant shoudl be taken away from K2 Productions. They have messed up in so many areas. And as for Beezley, she was named the winner months before the pageant ever took place. Those of us on the inside knew that from the beginning. She has competed in this competition four times and K2 Productions promised her this title if she cmae back again. Every girl shoudl be given her entry fee back, plus all the cosst incrued (i.e., wardribe, training, tickets to the pageant for family members). I am ashamed to have ever been in the pageant industry and never want anything to do with it afte this scandal. Additioanlly, why is last year’s Miss Teen USA (a 19-year-old) judging women older than her? And why were all the judges casting directors for reality shows? Is it ecause Trump has to make sure his new show “Pageant Palce” has a long run? A serious investigation needs to be done. To all the amazing and intelligent young women who competed: hold your heads high and know that you are winners; women with integrity; and meant for success. God bless!

I saw the video of it and Miss Barstow looks like she knows to much of the out come! When she was called 3rd runner up she knew thats wasn’t right look at the video! and the people booing they new something to if you see the video it’s not right! AND SHE WAS 3RD!

I was at the show and it was bad! This counting it for 5 people why is it so hard to count to 5? Barstow was not that good in my view so why would she win and she was 3rd runner up how does she jump to WINNER?? This is all lame and it should have been what it was at the show and why didn’t the judges say a word if they new something was wrong?

The truth is…the sad truth is, whether you want to hear it or not, is the fact that many (not all) of the state pageants “hint” to the judges who they would like to win. The judges are being paid, you know. many states have it rigged. There isn’t a way to prove it unless it can be confessed by the people who are doing it.

This is so LAME i was at the show and saw and heard what miss Los Angeles did she won and this new girl does not need to win she has been in a big number of things and never won so why should she win this! She need to step down her self!

This was fixed so that Barstow can win look at her face when she is called 3rd runner up, she lloks like she knows she sould not be the 3rd runner up FISH??? yes she was in on it!

I think it is distasteful to change who was crowned. Rachel is obviously friends with the producers of the pageant and paid someone. she is a fame seeker. she has been in hundreds of pageants and doesn’t care how she wins.

Our family attended the pageant as well. I agree that there were far more worthy candidates than some of those chosen for top 15. HOWEVER, I do feel that Raquel deserved to be in the top 5 and through her strong showing earned the crown! She shone more brilliantly than the others. As a parent of a teen, I feel Christina was NOT the proper choice to represent California in April…Miss California needs to be elegant AND eloquent…Christina did not demonstrate these qualities on Sunday…Raquel, however, will be a GREAT role model for the younger girls, as well as the older ones…We were among many who didn’t “get” the results of Sunday’s final scores. And by the way, it didn’t take a week to figure out that a GRAVE mistake had been made. The investigation started immediately…People need to slow down, read the facts, and realize that justice has finally been granted. It’s just a shame that they confused things by switching the judges midway. There in is where most of the blame lies. I feel for all the contestants. This was a very expensive pageant. This shouldn’t have happened, BUT IT DID!!! Get over it already… Hopefully next time there will be continuity with the judges…CONGRATULATIONS RAQUEL!!!

I don’t understand how people can make their comments without knowing what winner Christina Silva is thinking and doing. How dare you guys assume that she is not giving up the crown. She is a good person and has done and will continue to do the right thing. It is obvious by her accepting the unfortunate situation and agreeing without a doubt to relinquish her the crown shows everyone her integrity, the integrity the organization is definitely lacking..

Why is everyone trying to get there money back amazing how stupid the U.S. is it really does’nt even make sense? but anyways back to the real problem i’m curious to why everyone is so upset that miss los angeles was decrowned she did’nt win plain and simple there was a mix up it goes to who really deserves which would be miss barstow the tallys were wrong and yes that sucks because thess girls i’m sure were hurt but hey get over it i’m sure miss barstow is awesome it’s not about looks which it seems like some people think in their comments. She deserves the crown obvisously so people stop being so mean!!!

I too attended this disgrace of a pageant. This is an absolute embarrassment to our state. Accounting error? The accountants are paid to do this, and to do it RIGHT! How can anyone believe any of the results? I personally am questioning ALL of the results Teen and Miss. In the Teen division I find it hard to believe the judges selected Beaumont as the 1st runner up. She was clearly uncomfortable on stage in her swimsuit, her confidence was not at the level of many of the girls competing in that division. The 1st runner up should be as skilled as the queen. I hope the Teen queen stays healthy and goes to nationals, otherwise another embarrassment for the state of California is on the way.

I can’t understand why people are so upset over silva not being the real miss california get over it there was a mistake it was never meant for her to begin with just like the judge says on one of the comments whoever was tallying the votes messed up no one payed for miss barstow to win thats ridiculous she is a smart beautiful young lady and anyone who lives in the state of california should be honored to have her represent our state!!

Miss Barstow was 3rd runner up how did she get to be Crowed? i don’t get that??!!!! This whole thing is not right if they new Christina did not win why did it take a week for them to say something? Miss Los Angeles won it and should keep what she won!
