How can you crown the “real winner” when the top 15 weren’t picked correctly. Ms. Coronado - Had poise, grace and was spectacular. No she is not someone I know - I was there supporting someone else.

You can add biased and beyond ridiculous to being blind, deaf and dumb Judges. Really guys - what the hell where you thinking?

Excellent Christina for handling this with Grace and Class. While you were not my choice - I must say the manner in which you handled this says tons about your Character. You will go far in life and I wish for you the very best.

As for who is Miss California - I still find it interesting that they have “crowned” the real Ms. California - when the Judges didn’t get the TOP 15 right???

You have to have been blind, dumb and deaf not to have Ms. Coronado and Ms. Orange County and Ms. Folsom in the TOP 15!

I have to say, that I am extremely dissappointed in all of the negativity that seems to be coming out of this event. I was a volunteer for this pageant, and had the opportunity to work with all of the young ladies throughout the entire weekend. There were many, many, of them who could have easily won the title and served as Miss California with dignity and grace. Miss Barstow was one of them, Miss Los Angeles another, and there were many others.

I co-direct a local pageant, where we had a similar error a number of years ago. It is a very difficult thing to have to deal with. You put people in a position to make sure this doesn’t happen, but there is ALWAYS the element of human error. That is why there are checks and balances, and even though the verification process may take a few days, if it shows that the wrong girl was crowned, then the only thing to do is the make a correction. The publicity is never good for a pageant when this happens, but in my opinion, it is better to do the right thing, no matter how difficult it is for those involved. And I am proud to be associated with an organization that is willing to correct an error, no matter how ugly it might get in public.

I commend K2 for doing the right thing. I commend Christina for doing the right thing. And I commend Raquel for doing the right thing.

All of you who are making the negative comments about any of the delegates, staff or anyone involved in the pageant, need to take a good look in the mirror. Let he who lives in a glass house cast the first stone…..

I was in the audience when they announed Miss Bartow as 2nd runner up and that’s when I heard the most boo’s. The majority of her people where in the VIP section which were seats that had been apparently sold out prior to the finals. Somehow her people got those seats at the last minute. There was no booing when Christina actually won. Christina deserves her crown and if Miss Bartow can get those VIP seats at the last minute maybe that is how she got the taps changed at the last min- hmmmm.

It’s just too odd that a mistake was made this big is Barstow was to win when she was called 2nd why was nothing done? I was at the show and it took them like 15 minutes to count the ballet if they did this why still do they do it wrong? It’s just to odd all of it, it’s doesn’t seem right at all It does look fixed some how or something is up she was in this contest for her fourth time! I don’t know her but at the same time she need to speak up her self if the crown was taken from Miss Barstow she would not be happy her self, but now she is feeling glory that Miss Los Angeles had for 5 days and it was gutted out of her. And having Miss Los Angeles call Miss Barstow was just another slap in the face. I heard that the new crowing was today and hey wanted Miss Los Angeles (Miss California 2008) was to crown her or at least K2 Productions wanted her to what another slap in the face. THIS IS JUST ALL WRONG AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THIS MISTAKE SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THERE JOBS THIS EARRE WAS TO BIG OF AN EARRE.

I was a contestant at the Miss CA pageant and I wish to remain anonyomous but I just want to say that I had the pleasure of meeting both Raquel and Christina and they were both nice, beautiful, intelligent women, either of which would rep. California well. I hope that people will stop putting down both women as it is not their faults.

I can’t imagine how much it must hurt to be blessed with something so wonderful as the opportunity to rep your state at the Miss USA pageant and then to have it taken away from you. I think that everyone should feel sorry for Christina, but Raquel did not make the mistake and unless it is proven that people are cheating for her people should not be so quick to judge.

This was my first pageant ever and I want to say that Keith Lewis is nothing less than a class act! I was very impressed with all of the young women who participated in the pageant. All of the contestants should be celebrated for putting themselves out there as positive role models for young women when it is certainly more popular to be out of control.

Beauty pageants are about Beauty. Beauty is not only physical beauty but Intelligence, poise, class, and grace under pressure and both young women have handled this situation with all of the above. I wish nothing but the best to both women and I hope that both women receive a public apology!

Barstow knows you were fairly the individual who TRULY deserves the crown through your kind heart,dedication,perseverience! You have wanted this your WHOLE life ever since Face Finders I can remember you, your mom, brothers and Step-dad scraficing sooo much. Keep your head held high. It’s funny how God works in mysterious ways there is something you will take from the misfortunate circumstances. I have heard that the Miss LA has been very gracious and understanding towards you just know we have ALWAYS loved you and you have ALWAYS been our QUEEN!!Now California will hopefully see you for the beautiful person you are through your reign this year.When I say Beautiful I mean your spirit not your outward appearence. Remember you know what the truth is and that is ALL that matters. And seriously for those who keep making OUTRAGEOUS remarks of buying off the Judges they need to look at themselves that is the most ridiculous comment. But hey let them keep talking they are making you more Famous than what you already are Ms.Cheesecake:)
