Wrong Contestant Crowned Miss California USA 2008?

Inside sources tell “Extra” that the Miss Universe organization may have a new scandal on its hands over last weekend’s Miss California USA Pageant.

“Extra” has information that the wrong contestant may have been awarded the crown due to an alleged accounting error.

Cristina Silva, Miss Los Angeles, was named Miss California USA 2008, but sources tell “Extra” the judges actually chose the 2nd runner-up, Raquel Beezley, Miss Barstow, as the winner.

Sources tell “Extra” that Silva has been made aware of the error and the pageant’s owner, Donald Trump, has been looped in as well.

Today, The Miss Universe Organization tells “Extra”, “This matter is being handled on the state level.”

Clearly those people commenting that Christina Silva should have won and deserved it were NOT there….she was out of shape, unprepared, and inappropriate on stage. There were many girls that deserved the crown and she was not one of them! I am happy that at least we do not have to be embaressed at MIS USA this year. The entire event was unprofessional but at least Christina Silva is not our Miss CA USA

Obviously the poster above me was not there and does not know much about pageants. Christina was the last person who should have taken that crown. I feel bad that she has to go through this, but there was definitely about 60 other ladies who deserve this crown more. Yes she was miss congeniality, but this is a beauty pageant. I hate when people make it a racial thing, she was tacky, not in shape, not facially beautiful and not classy at all. She was very provacative on stage and looked like a stripper. She is an embarrassment to the state our new Miss California. I hope they got it wrong.

Hanging chads have not been an issue since the 2000 elections and the accounting firm gets paid to get the numbers right. Why 5 days after the event are they saying they miscounted? Sounds political, sounds like palm greasing, sounds like they got it right the first time, but somebody is calling in a favor and changing the results!I didn’t realize these tiaras were for sale, where can I buy one! Ms. Silva won, leave it as it should be!

This Is A SHAME! MISS LOS ANGELES CHRISTINA SILVA WON FAIR AND SQUARE. JUST BECAUSE THIS WAS HER VERY FIRST COMPETITION, SHE IS A TALENETED DANCER, ARTICULATE AND THE RIGHT GIRL FOR THE JOB! IF THEY TAKE HER CROWN AWAY THERE WILL BE THOUSANDS OF DISAPPOINTED FANS!
WE WILL BE LOOKING TO SEE IF SHE STAYS WITH THE CROWN ( LIKE SHE SHOULD )

Not happy with the entire event. Just a few things to list that were not typical of a USA pageant event. The girls had to stand in the alley in their bikinis during the production. The money we paid, it was the most we have ever paid to view a California USA pageant which would have been fine if it would have been a great show but it turned out to be an embarrassment to the friends we invited to come along and pay for a catastrophe such as this! The enitire production was a mess for example the hosts (not their fault) called out description of the wrong girls, then the girls coming on stage like cattlecall bumping into eachother. Megan Tandy never called out to do her final walk. It really gave the whole thing a bad taste. After the event was over the girls were told to meet their families in the alley very tacky to say the least!

That’s a bunch of BS! The wrong contestant was not crowned….everyone knows that Miss Los Angeles Christina Silva deserved that crown! I mean….she even won Miss Congeniality….and that’s voted on by the delegates of the pageant! I feel that this is happening because she’s a minority…it’s really not fair and they better not take her crown or the Miss Universe Pageant is going to lose major ratings!
