Michael Jordan’s $168 Million Divorce Sets Record

Basketball great Michael Jordan has reportedly settled his divorce with ex Juanita for a whopping $168 million.

The NBA superstar will pay Juanita the jaw-dropping amount as part of his newly-finalized divorce settlement. This is reportedly the biggest monetary award in celebrity history. Singer Neil Diamond once reportedly held that title with a $150 million settlement to ex Marcia Murphy.

Michael and Juanita married in 1989 and have three kids. They split in 2006.

Kobe Bryant doesn’t have any business giving his opinion, as I remember Mr. Trusty crusty, your face was all over the news with your infidilities. Michael Jordan did the right thing. You on the other hand pass the buck and got away by sporting a Diamond forgiveness ring. Your problems are that you lack faith and take advantage of your positions in Society. You are role models and children look up to you and the fact that you are African American is even more of a reason why you should both set a great example because you have overcome so many differences, difficulities and broke the barrier on racism. You have all classes of people looking up to you and children aspiring to be like you and what do you do but through it back like a rebellious child with no morals or standards of any up bringing. GROW UP KOBE, Grow up!
Michael did the right thing, his wife loved him and I agree if Michael Jordan can write a check for 168 Million dollars then he is not crying to the bank. It’s his decision and its his business and really it was the right thing to do. Again, Michael Slammed Dunked and this time not on the basketball court. But you Kobe, I see you with your shoe laces as if they were tied together and you just aren’t walking tall.

I am trying to disagree with some of the comments and when I do disagree it comes up as agreeing, so the survey is flawed and should be fixed.
I agree if Michael agreed to the settlement then it was his decision and it was in his wishes that his wife and children live in the comfort that he felt was best for them. I don’t think he did anything wrong in giving that amount of money. I see this as it is: Michael Jordan’s
Tith for his penance. Good Job Mike and let all other men who commit adultry and wrong their families follow your example. Be the man and confess up.

First he did not just cheat prior to the marriage and the situation spoken of here was during the marriage…get your facts straight. BUT anyways…she should get that much money and I say the rest of you selfish minded folks need to mind your own business. It is not like if Juanita did not get it …Michael was going to give any of it to you! If he saw you on the street he would not probably speak to you.

For the record I have nothing against Michael he is a nice guy…but ask yourself does anyone really deserve that kind of money for putting a BALL through a hole? NO they don’t but since the owners get paid so should they. It is the same for Juanita…the trickle down theory and its the law.

Also Michael never settles…his hands were forced.

Listen, I am one of the biggest fans that Michael Jordan has. I am also a huge fan of Junitia’s as well. The fact of the matter is that unless we were in their life 24/7 none of us know the truth. Did Michael cheat? We have no way of knowing if he did. What we do know is that a relationship he had 10 years before marrying his wife came back to light. The lady tried to blackmail him for more money and he stood his ground. If he had relationships prior to their marriage he did nothing wrong, they were not married. In spite of it all, they tried to work it out. They couldn’t and for themselves and their children they did the right thing. Think, if he didn’t want to SETTLE for $168 million he would not have done so. As a FAN, I more pleased at the fact that the maintained their self respect for their children and for themselves. If he can agree…two key words…Agree/Settle for $168 million, he aint cryin.

Hey people…Mike may have wanted his ex-wife to have this money. Everyone that break-up don’t hate each other and some still have a lot of love for each other. I personally know of several wealthy men that were involved in divorce and always told me that they will leave their ex-wife and kids in the best financially situation that was possible. Mission accomplished… The ex-wives, the kids, and the wealthy men are doing just lovely.

btw, you know there’s probably a list of conditions for the $$$ (like keeping her mouth shut about you know what, where, when, and with whom).

This isn’t the final 4, and I am not here to judge or support any of my personal perceptions. The true victims are the Jordan family and the foundation of marriage. My comment is that this has nothing to do with bad choices they were married for 17 years with 3 children she might have not been playing basket ball but she was holding it down at home with his kids and if he had been faithful he wouldn’t be in this situation. 17 years of marriage he messed up not her she was a good he chose good she just didn’t. He should have been faithful.

I find it absolutley crazy that this woman got/wanted that much money. Obviously it’s about the money and not the kids. She should get a job to keep up her “style that she’s become accustomed to”.
I think it’s a shame that women today are more interested in the money than the person they were married to.
Where was she when he was making the money?
It’s women like her that give hard-working parents a bad name, male or female.
I’m a single Mom with 3 kids and I don’t want any man to support me rich or not. I’m not afraid to work.
