Maksim speaks his honest, informed opinion always. His analysis seem “spot on” to me and most others. His assessment of those in the finals is right on.
And Melanie Brown is no more of a dancer than Drew Lachey, the darling of DWTS. They kept rhythm to the music as they sang. Hardly “using the entire floor” as she is in ballroom dancing.
SAD for a GREAT season to come down to such a sad ending because the Osmonds tried to PR their way to the top rather than dance it.
Marie as champ would make DWTS the standing joke of the YEAR. She does comedic routines, not dances.

What a disappointment the finale was. Marie acted like she knows she has the fan votes, so she didn’t care what she did, and Mel’s freestyle was not at all what I would have expected from her. Helio was good but not dazzling, though he was on the right track with his freestyle. Mel’s freestyle was too ballroomy; I thought she was really going to get out there and work it like she would with the Spice Girls. And speaking of which, I agree that the Girls were way out of line booing Carrie Ann. Carrie Ann was totally right about Mel’s routine; it just wasn’t exciting. Marie’s doll dance was an embarassment. It’s okay to have fun and show a little humor in this competition, but this was just a joke. It’s not the Donny and Marie Show. This was Marie’s chance to show just how good a dancer she is, and she blew it. My choice to win is Helio. As much as I wanted a woman to win this time, he is the one who came out the best last night.

No matter what the dancers decide to do in the finale is their choice and they should live with it. But what’s with The Spice Girls poor sportsmanship in booing the judges? They were disruptive and I say we broke away from England over 200 years ago and am glad. They showed how juvenile they are. Mel was a dancer from the beginning and the ones that should win are Helio and Julianne due to their suberb performances over all the weeks.

What is this about her and blacks? HUH? I must have missed something.
For the record I’m not an Osmond or a mormon.

I agree with whoever said Max may not be back next season after these comments. Didn’t something similar happen with Louie V. that he hasn’t been on since? Max just said it like it is. It’s a shame better dancers didn’t get to perform - it would have made it a way more exciting finale. (That doll number, ugh) And Marie came across as a whack job getting angry at the judges etc.

Marie looks stupid! Yeah you say she’s been in the business a long time she and donnie are has-beens but you can count on every f*))*) Mormon in the state of Utah, to save her butt. She has not improved at all on this show as far as dancing she looks and acts the same as week 1 and yeah that’s what it is about getting better as a dancer and that’s not happing. And I’m from Utah born and rasied. She sucks get over it she does not deserve to win her danceing is crap and people keep saying she’s entertainig it’s so corny and over the top. But she has a fan base. Lord help us!!!

i do believe that honesty is the best policy and i can also understand his frustration. my anger stems from the fact that everyone is whining and complaining that it isn’t fair that people on the show are already performers(Sabrina, Mel B, etc). Okay, yes they are performers, however they didn’t walk onto the show knowing how to do the Cha Cha Cha, Ramba, and a whole gang grip of other dances. so for Marie to complain and say that the advantage of the “performers” is not fair and they are picking on the older contestants is funny to me. i like Marie, i think that she is funny, but when she opened her mouth and said that, my mouth dropped to the floor. was she serious, has she seen herself perform dancing wise. i think not.
Now for Maks, i think it was brave of him the say that, and with this statement he may not be on next years show, however, he just said what the rest of us couldn’t on national television. I’m sorry for those who don’t feel that way, but for you to comment on how he cocky he is and how he is a jerk for saying those things, i think it is foolish because aren’t you mirroring what he is doing to Marie? yep i think so. and i agree with the statement about the rigging of the show, if Marie wins, THE SHOW IS RIGGED. sorry!

Wow….what a huge ego Maks has! I don’t want Mel or Maks to win…simply because I consider her to have an advantage dancing with the Spice girls and all the choreography all those years. (same for Sabrina) I don’t think that’s fair. Now there is another reason not to want them. Maks. Sounds like sour grapes to me. I don’t want him to win in the future either. Don’t get me wrong….there is a way to criticize or give your opinion…but what he did was uncalled for and mean spirited.

And to the misinformed person about what Marie does….she does a lot more than produce dolls. Not only is she able to sing country/pop…but has done a few musicals, acted and still holds records for being one of the youngest to have a #1 hit.

She’s worked with the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon (I believe she co-founded it) and children in general for years. This all started after her eldest son was hospitalized as an infant…she made this one of her priorities.

And to the comments about Marie with the judges….everyone that knows Marie..knows she was not being rude or anything like that. She jokes a lot. That is her sense of humor.
I’ve met her on two different occasions and she was a very nice and pleasant lady.

I love both of the other couples….so Go for it Marie/Jonathan and Julianne/Helio!

I agree with Maks — he’s stating what many are thinking. He’s a professional and this is merely his professional opinion. I like Marie, I truly do, but I think even SHE knows that if she should walk away with the trophy, it wasn’t really deserved. My votes have all gone to Maksim and Mel -the best dancers.

Ok everyone; let’s remember that this is a DANCING show, not a popularity contest. I completely agree that the voting system should be changed to 75% judges, 25% votes. Maksim’s comments were NOT rude, but refreshingly honest. Those of you who are voting for Marie are voting for the wrong reasons. Marie treats the competition as a personal campaign rather than basing it on her dancing achievements. Her personal family issues, prior fame, fan base, doll collection, and her “I’m a 40 something single mother of 8, doing this for my FANS” bit is tiresome to say the least. Mel and Maks are talented, graceful, classy, and have shown the most growth. This show is about the beauty of dancing, so vote for the right reasons…vote for MEL AND MAKSIM!!!

Everyone always bashes celebrities for “dancing around the question.” Maks just said what everyone in the competition has been thinking for a long time now. He showed a lot of class and restraint…Marie is awful and she proved that tonight. He merely said there were better dancers that went home instead of Marie, truth hurts I guess.

I am a HUGE Osmond fan! However, tonight’s performance was painful to watch, particularly the last “doll” dance! Lately, I feel as though the dancing isn’t as important as setting up the “stage” for self-promotion of the Osmond Family. I say this and yet I am truly a fan. It is just starting to feel awkward. As for Mak, it is beneath him to speak of a fellow competitor the way he has done. I won’t vote for him….or Marie for that matter. In the past, I always have, but this was embarrassing to watch.

Did you know has a bad history physically and when he was younger he was in an accident and some doctors thought he would be PARALYZED!!! he has helped many dancers and opened up a school with his family- he works with non-profit dance teams!!

Marie?? does what? sells dolls? you think with all the media she is getting she would at least put it to good use!

BOTTOM LINE: Don’t bash Maks- he WAS JUST ANSWERING A QUESTION- HE IS A GOOD GUY AND HAS BEEN AN EXCELLENT TEACHER AND CHOREOGRAPHER FOR MEL!

Maks told it exactly like it is! Tonight Marie’s two dances, especially the second, were horrendous and showed once again that she should have been gone a LONG time ago from this DANCING competition. Marie also showed zero class when she loudly argued with the judges. She can’t even take constructive criticism. She’s obnoxious!
