Jane Seymour: Food Poisoning Was ‘Terrible’

Jane Seymour is speaking out about the bad case of food poisoning that caused her to miss Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

“I couldn’t move. I was literally having spasms of pain every minute," Jane told "Extra." "I was crying and unable to move.”

She continued, “They tested everything. It was literally food poisoning. We don’t know what, but I am glad it’s gone.”

As for rumors it was all a publicity stunt, she laughed, “No, I mean it’s ridiculous!”

Jane, 56, also took to her MySpace page to speak out about fan-favorite Sabrina Bryan getting the boot.

“I was so convinced that I was going to be leaving the show that I had my bag packed!” she writes. "I am, as everyone was, completely stunned. I consider her to be an extraordinary dancer, a really lovely girl.”

I would have to say that Jane did an AMAZING job on DWTS!! She looks great for her age & did outstanding. She came back when I believe some wouldn’t after going through alot of struggles during the competition. A death in her family, her house almost burning down, sickness…she is one tough cookie!! & extremely talented in everything that she does. Besides that, a heart of Gold. NOW…to “lilacs” comment: Are all people not allowed to stand up for themselves? She DID NOT do a lift, it was shown several times & heaven forbid we stand up for ourselves!! Heaven forbid she didn’t allow herself to be walked all over.lol. Its ok, its called human nature, she had the right to defend herself. & if you read around you’ll see that she is seen more as what she truly is than anything else: CLASS!!

I’m glad jane’s well after what she went though. first her mother, then her house was almost burnt to the ground. Now food poisoning? Problems seem to plague Jane from every angle. I’m glad that she’s okay.

Thank God you’re okay, Jane!! You have had a rough ride of late, but you have remained strong throughout, and have turned in amazing dance performances every week. Keep up the great work, and I’ll keep voting for you and Tony. You are a class act, and an inspiration to all.

Jane,
You have proven you couldn’t do the dissapoinment of leaving with all the grace of Sabrina. You lost all my votes when you acted like a poor sport about the lift a few episodes back. It doesn’t matter if it was a lift or not because you looked like a spoiled actress that everyone has to cater to. You’re indicnation that just the thought that you would do something wrong set you off was very poor sportsmanship. You should just accept the judges remarks and try to improve. Go home now Drama Queen!!!

Thank goodness that you’re okay Jane! I have loved everything that you have done. I’m a hugh fan. Dr. Quinn was my favorite show when it was on and you are so beautiful. You dance with a grace that goes beyond words. I hope that you keep coming back week after week. You will always have my vote. You hang in there girl and good luck!!

I’m glad Jane is well and I’m glad she’s back. I thought perhaps that, she wouldn’t be. But the judges have their votes and the public has theirs. We’ve seen that before. The worst misvote, I think was the choice of Jerry Rice over Stacey Kiebler. He’s a sports jock and he got the votes but he wasn’t as good a dancer as she was. DWTS has the viewing audience that it has, very much because the people participate. Also, I personally think that the measure of improvement should be a significant consideration. My favorite winners, Kelly Monaco and Emmett Smith got better and better every week and ended at the top of their game. And I don’t think the judges necessarily don’t favor older contestants. They strongly supported John O’Hurley.
