Why Did Helio Split From His Fiancée ?

"Extra" broke the news of dance champ Helio Castroneves' broken engagement when he told us, "It was already time to go, so you know what? It is what it is."

Now the word is it wasn't Helio who did the dumping.

Sources whisper it was his ex-fiancée Aliette who pirouetted out of his life. Plus, New York Daily News' Gatecrasher Ben Widdicombe says Helio's close relationship with partner Julianne Hough was a big part of the reason for the split.

M&M were a great team but their freestyle was probably the most boring final dance ever on the show. Even their fans must have been disappointed. For someone who dances as part of her work, she could have wowed us, but she didn’t. If she didn’t have so many Spice Girls rehearsals, who knows what might have happened…

umm, Heather? what’s your deal? He didn’t just stand there and kiss her. He danced awesome! And I don’t know what you heard, but it definately wasn’t bad critiques. M & M were good too. But Helio won, so can we focus on that?

I am SOO upset that he won. He did nothing but stand there, and he had the worst critiques…He is kissing another woman WHILE he’s engaged,and acting like it was no big deal..how much kissing went on behind the scenes that we DONT see?

There’s nothing between Helio and Julianne, and just because he won Dancing With the Stars, his love life is now under a microscope. Leave the man alone; we don’t need to know why his engagement broke up, and he never said anything to imply that it was because of Julianne or his participation in the competition. Let’s focus on his Dancing victory instead.

I always thought that there was something between Julianne and Helio and that kiss sealed it all.
