Photog from Brit’s Disastrous OK! Shoot Speaks

The man who shot Britney Spears’ disastrous OK! photoshoot in July has decided to speak out, giving “Extra” the real story behind that headline-making meltdown.

Celebrity photographer Mark Lidell was there the day Brit was accused of wiping fried chicken grease on a designer gown and skipping out before the shoot was finished.

“I class myself as family with Britney,” says Mark, who has shot Brit’s pictures since she was 17. “We have a special understanding with each other, from doing her engagement pictures to her baby pictures. We go far back.”

As for her infamous meltdown, Mark says, “We all have our highs. We all have our lows.”

Mark explains, “Paparazzi absolutely killed and ruined our day. They jumped in the backyard. They were everywhere.”

He’s also defending Brit’s bizarre actions, which reportedly included picking up dog poop with a designer gown and having terrible mood swings.

“I think it was an overwhelming day. It was too much going on for her,” he insists. “And you know the sweetheart said to me in the car afterwards, ‘Mark if you want me to come back afterwards I'll do my best and get back,’ but she had to go and finish off the music video.”

Now Mark says he knows exactly what Brit needs: to be left alone.

“It’s for her to solve her journey and really to be left alone to do that, without other people trying to pretend they know better or to interfere,” Mark notes.

PEOPLE….stop with all the HATE…is there not enough out there…so she is going through a rough time…when you are at your lowest does it make you feel better people talking bad about you…NO i don’t think so..why is she different ….let her get to a good place her way…pray that she finds herself instead of trying to destroy her further…GROW UP…

Sorry Mark, if the news reports were so wrong about Britney, you should have came forward earlier. Don’t try to make excuses for her now.

There is no excuse for the chicken and the grease on the gown…and dog poop on the dress.

UH, Mark…If you think she needs to be left alone, the first person you need to tellhis HER. She is addicted to the attention and asks for it on a daily basis.
She is in the midst of a serious emotional crisis—-most of it resulting from her own bizarre actions.
What she needs is for a family member (mom?, dad?) to get her sme help and I mean inpatient, even if she doesn’t want to go—there ARE ways to do this.
If not, I think tragedy is imminent.

Why is that guy defending briteny spears’ idioitic diva behavior from that photo shoot?
She craves attention to be sure, but if I were him, I’d be really concerned of her train wreck behavior instead of condoning her insane behavior during the said photo shoot that didn’t go well.

So the photographer want to be be on the good side of Britney. In hopes of getting exclusive rights to her next photo “shoot”?! Of course he’s sad and concerned. Who seen this coming, not him, not her parents, and certainly not her fans.
