I just had a chance to see this happen, and it is many years later. I first will have agree with an earlier comment from Amanda “that If Jonny did that to a girl and she reacted like that, would we be having this conversation? Hell no! I think Danny reacted within his rights as a human.” I have been watching Danny since he was a child. We have met when we were kids and partied together at Magic Mt. here in CA.
I have been through many of the same things in my own life. I will just say that what Danny did was in no way over violent, as a matter of fact I would have probably beat the man to near death for jumping on me. Despite what Danny may be doing on his own time, Why would are right to defend ourselves be taken away just because we are a star. I think that Danny gets a lot of BAD publicity because we like to beat people up. I say my hat is off to you Danny, I know you are doing what ever it takes to make it. I am in your corner Danny. PS after watching your ex-wife’s reality show the best compliment I will give her is not how beautiful she is but the fact that she dose have a good radio voice. She was more pleasant to listen to than most on-air voice’s. Give her some advice. Get away from the on camera work and go behind the Mic….

I think Danny did what any red blooded american male would have done in his position. I’ve seen my husbands friends wrestling and throwing each other around for years and if that little puss couldnt break the fall with something other than his ugly face he deserves to lose a few teeth. What the hell did he expect him to do? Ask him politely to get his goober out of his face? This is Danny Bonaduce we’re talking about. He knew who he was doing it to and what would happen. Its a publicity stunt on Johnny Fairplay’s part and he needs to be hurt for it. He’s a punk and his poor granny needs to come bust his butt for acting the way he does.

Ithink it was all pre arranged this little act of theirs, but, it all went wrong. fairplay should learn to somersault when he sets up a sitaution as the one we have just seen.

I’ve always hated Danny until now. Now I like him.

Wow! That’s fucked up! Frankly, I don’t know Fairplay at all. What amazes me is that someone would care if he jumped on someone else. Move out of the way when he jumps. That or ask him to get off. Pretty simple in my book. Throwing over his head and on to his face is completely uncalled for. Ah well.. they’re famous so almost nothing will come of it anyway. The beauty of the American Justice system. When you have money you can get away with almost anything.

What’s wrong with this country? What’s wrong with you! The big picture is that Danny just got sexually assaulted and you expect him to just lay back and let it happen? He was calm AND collected the entire time and as was pointed out, walking away from the incident. So, Wendy, you should think about what you would do for once.

I am so glad someone finally put fairplay in his place. I hope this ends whatever hopes of a career this putz had. He is no actor and is just a bottom feeder in the entertainment community. Noone likes him or has respect for him. We don’t want to see him on TV. He was the reason I didn’t watch this awards show. Glad he landed on his big fat mouth. Maybe now he will “shut the hell up” !!!!!

It was a shock to watch both men on television. I’m not a violent person but if someone assaulted me as Fairplay did to Bonaducci, I certainly would have struck out. Not saying Danny’s action was appropriate but it was disgusting to have that done to him. He obviously was drunk or high as you saw him move and talk. If the other guy wasn’t or was I couldn’t say but you don’t or can’t expect a reasonable response from someone drunk. What on earth would have possessed the guy to call him back to jump on him for a nationwide view of him dry humping. Who does something like that? Danny should probably feel bad about the damage to the guys face, but certainly not bad for reacting. I don’t know anything about the other guy much more than I do of Bonaducci but his behaviour was equally dispicable.

Go Danny, if some guy jumped on me and started humping me like a little gay comedian I would knock his damn teeth out to. While I believe it was an accident, he deserved every bit of it.

There is no excuse for such violent, uncaring behavior. A human being was seriously hurt.

I think it is obvious that Danny Bonaduce has drinking and behavioral problems. There is no way that he is justified in throwing Johnny over his head. One would know that he would not be expecting that and the result was major dental surgery and a lifetime of dental issues that will stem from this. Danny is a coward and Johnny should persue this as a violent assault and a civil suit. I doubt that Danny has any real money, but he can attach a judgement to whatever paltry earnings Danny may have in the future. It is just sick that Danny was an unattractive child star that grew up to be a steroid, drug and alcohol addict. Just a bad example for anyone young or old…and I truly believe he will get what is coming to him. Danny has morphed into a complete muscle faced monster thug. I hope he gets jail time and we will see what the savages in prison do to him.

If this Jonny guy had one ounce of athleticism, this wouldn’t be going to court. I mean, he tried breaking the fall with HIS CHIN!!!!!! (look ma, no hands?) I don’t think Danny did anything wrong. What if he pushed him off the front of him, and Jonny fell back and hit his head. Is that assualt also?

This was totally an accident. I don’t know that much about either of them, I have seen Danny’s show and I know how outta control he can get and not once was he aggressive or combative. He even walked away after he said his peace and Fairplay went after him.
Even then Danny didn’t make a scene. I was totally shocked when Jonny jumped on Danny and even more when he began to hump him. Danny was well within his right to lay him out but kept well restrained and totally passive. He did what anyone of us would have done. I wish Jon a speedy recovery but I have no sympathy for him. This ought to put him in his place.

Danny was totally in the right to do this. The guy jumped on him which can be considered assault as much as being tossed on the floor. The other guy got what he deserved, you dont stick your “junk” in another mans face and not expect to get slammed to the floor, he’s just lucky Danny didn’t throw a punch or a kick once he was on the ground.
