Russell Crowe Defends Britney Spears

Britney Spears has an unlikely ally in her public custody battle – Russell Crowe.

The Oscar winner told “Extra” that the paparazzi are at least partly responsible for Britney’s downfall.

“I don’t know her music, but we’re all sitting back and watching this group of people. Insane," he insisted. "And I think we should be taking a little more responsibility for it."

He added, “I know this is going to be like, ‘The gladiator protects the Mouseketeer!’”

I agree only partly with what he says, He and Britney partly only have themselves to blame for the media-attention they have gotten and are getting. If you misbehave, you can expect the media to fo after you. I feel more sympathy for Britney than for Russell Crowe though, because Britney is still very young and became famous when she was a child. No excuse for her behaviour, but more understandable than a grown man hitting and biting other humand beings.

I agree that some of her choices have been poor. However, no one knows the circumstances of the situation. How many of you have layed your baby down on your bed turned around and then they have rolled off? Probably 85% if the people I know. Should you have childrens services called out on you? It is crazy the amount of trouble that people are creating for her. Kevin started her down this road and now he is acting like the marter. I am not falling for it. People should leave her alone rather than throw her on the front cover of every magazine out there.

Contrary to popular opinion, Russell Crowe is a caring, sensitive man, who literally adores his family. I’m glad to see him, (someone who knows the havoc that paparazzi can create in your life) step forward and give the girl much needed public support.

Despite what anyone might think of her, she does need help.

It is more than the paparazzi that has created havoc with Britney, and Lindsey and the other young girls that were exploited by families for fame and fortune. They were raised before the cameras by a posse of people who used them and now we are watching their lives fall apart. Shouldn’t some sort of child work laws help protect these children before they become such messed up adults?

I thought torture was prohibited by the consitution. What the press and paparrazzi are doing to Britney Spears is nothing short of torture. Regardless of whether one agrees with her lifestyle, choices, or whatever, this amount of harrassment is absurd and should be sugject to government intervention. And the guy who got his toe run over was asking for it.

I think being constantly watched and knowing that she’s constantly watched is what made her go a bit insane. And K-Fed is no less of a drinker and drug user than she is, so he shouldn’t be allowed to take the kids away.

I think yes the paparazzi is getting a little carried away and is paprtically to blame for britney’s downfall. I think kevin is the first person who is responisble for britney downfall. If anyone should lose those kids it is him. What i mean is he hardly takes care or see his other two kids. Why should he be aloud to have two more he never sees or cares for.

The paparazzi IS getting away with too much public harassment, and they are causing too many wrecks, which ends up being the drivers responsibility to pay for all the damages, (like in Brittneys case). When is too much considerd to be too much already. More than likely, a New Law wont get passed UNTIL somebody
ends up dead, or somebody shoots another
somebody.
