Jermaine Dupri on Britney: Her Album 'Will Explode'

As Britney Spears prepares to drop her first studio effort since 2003, fans and industry insiders are wondering if the pop star can produce a hit.

At least one major music heavyweight, Janet Jackson’s main man and music mogul Jermaine Dupri, thinks Britney will strike gold.

“I believe she's going to explode,” Jermaine tells “Extra.” “I think she's going to have one of the biggest albums she's ever had.”

“Blackout,” Britney’s first effort since “In the Zone,” will hit stores Oct. 30.

“People don’t believe it, and I think things happen in mysterious ways,” Jermaine says of Brit’s success.

But even though Jermaine is in Britney’s corner, he’s swearing he’ll never work with her.

“I don't like working with people who already have a career because I don't feel that I can add that much to them,” he explains. “People I've gotten to work with I got to work with them at an earlier stage.”

He adds, “I prefer to be part of projects when you have more to offer for me."
