Heartbreak for Victim of Nick Hogan Crash

“Extra” has learned some devastating news about the young man critically injured in Nick Hogan’s car crash.

John Graziano is comatose and will likely require care for the rest of his life, according to court documents.

The young Marine was just back from Iraq when he and Nick, son of wrestling star Hulk Hogan, climbed into Nick’s Toyota Supra on Aug. 26 and wrapped the vehicle around a tree.

Police said speed was a factor in the Florida crash. John was not wearing a seatbelt. Nick, 17, was wearing his and escaped with minor injuries.

Now, John’s mother, Debra Graziano, is legally petitioning a Florida court to permit her to assume guardianship of her 22-year-old son. She is separated from John’s father, Edward.

Those court papers include the heartbreaking diagnosis that John can only open and shut his eyes and that he is on life support.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident. No charges have been filed.

Regarding the Oct7 comment by S; uhhh yeah a seatbelt would help in a fender bender, but maybe not so much when youre being crushed by a 2 ton tree. Dude get the facts of the incident before you make a comment, but you are right to a point one must always wear a seatbelt especially if youre the passenger and an accident prone idiot is driving or worse a HOGAN.

Poor parenting. The Hulk does have his hands full with all three children(Linda included) but there is no excuse for not putting your foot down to your children. Uhhh 3 speeding tickets; does that raise a red flag? The only flag the Hogans wanted to see was a black and white checkered flag at any expense, even public safety. Lets face the kid was a loser and couldn’t succeed at anything else.Throw away the key.

I think that this is sad and hope that Nick feels sorrow for the rest of his life. I think the Hogans need to focus more on keeping Nick in line instead of hassling Brooke on every little thing, like a stupid outfit or guy that she likes. Just because you are 17 and come from money doesn’t mean you have to act studid and irresponsible 24/7.

This is a tragic story and I don’t see why anyone would talk negativly about an already horriable accident (emphasis on accident because it could have been any 17 year old kid)

For everyone who put a post up about the Hogan’s in a negative light, shame on you. THey are a wonderful family that has values and loves their children. Hulk’s persona as a wrestler was not his real life image. It stands to note that he and his wife Linda are STILL married, which is more than I can say for most nonfamous couples. And kids that are 17 do stupid things. I am sure Nick regrets making a stupid decision like speeding repeatedly, but he does have to live with this accident and its result on his conscience and his heart for the rest of his life. And as was already mentioned, his friend was old enough to make a life changing decision like using a seat belt on his own. Seatbelts saved my husband and I in a horrible crash on interstate 3 years ago also.

Mt heart breaks for John and his mom.
As far as Nick, he has to live with this for the rest of his life. John goes to Iraq to defend our country, and survives. Just when his mother thought he was safe at home….he is involved in an accident that DIDN’T have to happen.JOHN will be forever damaged and unable to live a normal life. All because of a 17 year old spoiled TV kid, who thought he was above the law, because of the lifestyle he was brought up in. I hope that their show ( hogan knows best)…(APPARENTLY NOT)continues, but focus’s more on the after math of this horrible accident and how it has affected the HOGAN FAMILY.
I hope that Nick plans on helping with medical expenses, as well as respite care for John’s family. The Hogan parents as well, should forever help the family with the EXTREME EXPENSE it will cost for the care of John.
My prayers are with both families.

That’s true, but not the point. The whole thing could’ve been averted, had they taken away Nick’s license. He admits to and has been stopped for speeding repeatedly, and is therefore a danger to others. The fact that he was still on the road - THAT’S the shame!

If you ever watched the show “Hogan Knows Best”, then you will realize how spoiled and rotten Nick Hogan is. He has no appreciation for the value of money, no regard for the law, and no understanding of the real world. Hulk, like many rich parents, do their children a disservice by letting them have whatever they want.

This young man (Nick) was bragging about speeding and how he got away with violating the law thanks to his celebrity status just days before he destroyed his friend’s life. What in the world was this type of person, whith a terrible driving record, doing driving an expensive sports car? I am sorry but there is fault in the “Hogans.” They are VERY MUCH at FAULT and Nick needs to learn his lesson IN JAIL, where CRIMINALS like him belong. DON’T FORGET HOW PROUD HE IS TO BREAK THE LAW AND GET AWAY WITH IT!!!!! DON’T FORGET THAT!!!!

I believe this is an awful thing to happen to both families. But i also belive the Hogans are good people and their children are well behaved. Nick made a poor judgement call but he is only 17 years old. I believe the Hogans are suffering as well. Nick will have to live with this forever as well as the family of the victim this is all very sad. But Nick is still considered a minor and the passanger is an adult. My prayers go out toall involved.

It is not nick’s fault. Terrible driving record YES, irresponsible YES…. However by 22 YOU SHOULD KNOW TO WEAR A SEATBELT!!! Nick should not have been speeding, but the other kid should have been WEARING A SEATBELT!!! And let me add that if you know your friend isnt a great driver and has been escaping cops time and time again, you think twice before getting in a car with him!

I really think that Hogan as a father how has a lot of money gave in to a childs want to have everything. Now that is it to late to set boundies his son and another young man will forever have to pay the price. Nick, will forever have to live with this as it will from this point on dictate his life. (I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT OTHER RICH PARENTS STOP AND LOOK AT WHAT HAS HAPPEND HERE, BEFORE THEY RUN OUT AND BUY A FAST CAR FOR THERE TEENAGER)

Come on people, where is our compassion for ALL HUMAN BEINGS? We most definitely need to feel sorry for the victim and his family but we need to put ourselves in Nick’s place too. This could be our son that was the driver. We would not love him any less. He DID NOT PUPOSELY DO THIS TO HIS FRIEND! He must be sick inside. Maybe, just maybe if John had been wearing his seatbelt, he too could have walked away.!! I PRAY FOR BOTH FAMILIES!!
