David Hasselhoff is finally speaking out after last week's relapse in his battle with alcoholism.

David told "Extra" today, "I feel fantastic,” and explained why he checked into a Los Angeles hospital last week.

“When you are sick you go to the doctor. I went to the doctor," he said. "I got better. It was a short-time thing and I’m feeling great."

He added, “Life is about bouncing back!”

"Extra" also talked to Jerry Springer, his "America's Got Talent" co-star, and Jerry said he's confident Hasselhoff can recover from this latest setback.

“He’s the Hoff," Jerry insisted. "And it’s like saying Superman can’t overcome Kryptonite. The Hoff will survive.”
