Halle Berry Says She Won't Marry Gabriel Aubry

Halle Berry once famously vowed she’d never again tie the knot after two failed marriages.
Now, not even pregnancy will change her mind.
Halle is telling Oprah Winfrey that she has no plans to wed model-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, the father of her baby.
When asked by Oprah during a taping of her show, “Are you still in that space?” Halle replied, “Yes.”
She continued, “What Gabriel and I have decided is that we will just redefine marriage for ourselves.”
Halle and Gabriel’s baby is due in the spring.

I hope Halle Berry is happy with her life. She has another “love” and he happens to be white. This was her choice. I sure hope her choice however, doesn’t imply having given up on Black men as there are many wonderful, caring, loving, faithful Black men available who would have made great husbands and Dads. (I have one). As for marriage, if her quote on redefining marriage is accurate, there is no such thing. Marriage is an institution ordained by God. That is why people marry in a church and the vows are sacred. If she is a Christian she knows that the laws of God as stated in the Bible do not change because we want them to or think it’s okay to bend them “just a little”. Celebrity, money, fame do not mean a thing to God. His laws (in the Word of God) are to instruct us on how to live our lives successfully. (Because he created us and loves us) and He is the manufacturer so he knows best. Marriages consist of men and women who then are blessed to have children. Children created outside of that institution are bastards (the Word again). God knows how important the union of marriage is to children. Halle, the world is watching. If you truly love this man (agape love) and God brought him into your life (I sure hope so) then let him put a ring on your finger and commit his life to you and you to him. If this is real, money and prenuptial agreements should not be a consideration. Anything else is only a secular “relationship” when viewed through the eyes of the “world” may seem acceptable to you but I’m afraid will ultimately fail. Please don’t promote this standard for our young men and women who look up to celebs like you.
