Lauren Conrad's Date Says 'The Hills' is Fake

MTV's hit show "The Hills" is coming under fire from a former model who appeared on the show as Lauren Conrad's date.

Gavin Beasley is blasting the show as "scripted," telling VH1's "Best Week Ever" that MTV went so far as to set up scenes for drama.

He explained that one scene where he met Brody Jenner was set up so that "the audience would get a kick out of seeing 'the ex' talking to 'the new guy.'"

In addition, he asserted that Brody was always acting when the cameras were rolling.

"Brody would talk all this s--, then be like, 'Sorry about that, we're just trying to make good television,'" Beasley said.

As for Lauren, Beasley is not impressed.

"[Conrad's] kind of a conversation killer, and when the cameras are rolling, all conversation is kept firmly on the surface," he said.

I worked at a Dodge dealership called Towbin Dodge, known for it’s crazy Chopper Show & the A&E reality series King of Cars. Watching what reality tv is all about was a lot of fun. Having the show be filmed and the noteriety it brought us, I can honestly say boosted sales and made us a popular tourist attraction, but reality tv is fake. 40 percent of it is real, the other 60 is fake. A producer makes a daily agenda, then as early as 5 am camera crews, writers, and audio technicians get together to brain storm a typical scenario. Once a quick script is made, it’s go time. The only thing you can’t control are the customers, but even they ham it up to not look like fools on TV. Meanwhile through the day camera crews begin to edit footage. If footage recorded is boring, then what they do is entice random customers to say certain things (aka the date gavin beasly said is scripted) making it all scripted. For example, customer willing to walk due to a bad deal, how calm and witty he seemed to make it seem a challenge for the salesman to make the sale. The zany events that always seem to happen. All scripted. In conclusion, it’s all up to the electricity the show has with it’s viewers. America could only take so much of Nick and Jessica, heck even of Britney & K-fed’s reality show. Although if Britney filmed herself now, oh my gosh would that sell.
