David Hasselhoff Suffers Relapse

David Hasselhoff has suffered a relapse in his battle with alcoholism.

The 55-year-old actor checked into a Los Angeles hospital yesterday and sought treatment. His rep tells "Extra" that he returned home last night, saying, "There's nothing more for me to say other than he went home last night and is doing fine."

Earlier this summer, the former "Baywatch" star was videotaped by his daughter intoxicated on the floor of a bathroom. The footage turned into a major scandal for David, and soon after, he began fighting for custody of his two daughters with ex Pamela Bach.

He won primary physical custody of daughters Hayley, 15, and Taylor, 17, in June, but they had been staying with Pamela while David filmed "Anaconda 3" overseas.

It's not clear if and how his recent relapse will affect the existing custody agreement. A mediation hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

I’m still a fan of David Hasselhoff, even with all the crap he’s going through lately, and I hope his divorce, as crappy as it still is, will eventually become ancient history; it can’t keep dragging on and on forever, and frankly, I’m sick of that divorce crap still going on.
Maybe eventually he and his ex-wife will be sort of friends, but first start of as strictly polite, er, frenemies, sort of, I don’t know, at this point…..

I am truly saddened to hear about David’s latest challenge. It is certain that something is missing from his life, and it is not the money and prestige that is at his beckon call. Above all, he needs to be guided to realign himself spiritually and become balanced again to fight the demons that unfortunately have plagued him for so long. He does not to be ostracized but to be supported sincerely and honestly.
But for the grace of G-d go anyone at any given time. How would you like to be treated?

DH gets my support through his struggle with his alcohol addiction, and fortunately his fans know sho he is as a person, as well as his daughters.
He shouldn’t be ostracized mercilessly at all so publcly over his recent relapse at all, especially not after that crappy awful mess surrounding his unceremoniously leaked and exploited video mess earlier this spring/summer.
For all these reasons, we should all stay hoff his case until he gets better
once again.

I truly sorry for his addiction problems…BUT this guy is a real jerk. He actually had everyone thinking that his wife had the problem…and on top of it all our judicial system gives him custody of his kids and throws her out of the house. AND WHAT HAS HAVING MONEY TAUGHT HIM?
