'Dancing' Shocker! Sabrina Bryan Goes Home

Fans, judges and fellow contestants gasped on “Dancing with the Stars” last night when Sabrina Bryan – long favored to win the competition – was sent home.

“I had you so pegged for the finale,” host Tom Bergeron said as dancers shook their heads and the audience booed. Sabrina’s mouth hung open in disbelief as partner Mark Ballas stared ahead.

Still, Sabrina remained cheerful after the show. She told “Extra” backstage, “We will dance again. I’ve had an incredible time. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and to meet the people I’ve met.”

She added, “It’s so sucky to go home, but at the same time, so amazing to look back at all the memories. I have some amazing pictures and stories.”

Meanwhile, Jane Seymour had to miss last night's show because of a medical emergency!

The beauty was rushed to the hospital after rehearsal due to a bad case of food poisoning. She's expected to make a full recovery and return for the next show.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba told “Extra” that the decision to can Sabrina – clearly that of the audience, as the Cheetah Girl was a judge favorite – was a mistake. Carrie Ann called Sabrina the best female competitor that the show has ever had.

In fact, Melanie Brown thinks something actually went wrong!

"I think that she should ask for a recount," Mel B. told "Extra."

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is fighting mad, fuming, "There were couples, celebrities that should have been eliminated tonight. The two in the bottom two were not."

Carrie Ann added, "I'm really upset. I'm kind of heartbroken. She brought so much power. As a female competitor, we have never seen anybody as good as Sabrina."

I think the public made the right choice. DWTS is for amateurs. Granted, she was great, but she should be, she is a professional.

In my opinion, I definately think that Sabrina should be put back on Dancing with the Stars. Surely there was a mistake! I absolutely think the show can do a re-do for all the ones existing this far… especially Sabrina! When I saw her getting voted off last night, I was shocked like everybody else! Tears started welling up inside of me… I absolutely bawled! I think Sabrina is MAGNIFICENT and beyond perfect in every dance that she has performed! Plus, just like the name of her singing group, she is like a cheetah, pouncing for the prize! But all I have to say is this: Sabrina’s votes should be recounted. Please get her back on Dancing with the Stars! She deserves it!

Sabrina should not have been eliminated. This really taints the show. There are four dancers left that are not as half as good as her. She should have made it to the final.

I am saddened to see Sabrina go, and while I love Jane and Marie, either one of them would have left to see a better dancer stay. And, what about Cameron? He isn’t great, he could have been voted off, too!

That is one spunky Cheetah Girl, and a class act! The disappointment and the shock was very apparent, but Sabrina handled it in a mature manner. She earned my votes by putting 100% into her dancing; she is an awesome performer. It’s a shame we won’t be seeing her and Mark perform for the rest of the show. It was fun while it lasted. Best of luck, Sabrina! As for those who know it should have been them going home — your time’s coming.

I agree that Sabrina should still be on the show and dancing. I think Jane should have been the one to go home.

I was completely shocked watching last nights show. Jane and Marie are fine but come on people they are no where near the level of any of the other dancers on the show. And Sabrina was if not the best dancer on the show very close to it. It’s a shame that people are not truly voting on the best dancer but rather on who they know or like in other contexts. This was by far the tighest competition for this show and I would have understood if Sabrina lost but going out this early is just ridiculous, she’s just better than the others and we should have been able to enjoy her talent longer. As for continuing to watch the show, I really don’t know if I will or not. I certainly won’t make it a point to be home to watch it anymore.

It definitely should have been jane or marie in the bottom two they both got the lowest scores of the night. Sabrina was one of the only reasons i watched this show and she puts her whole heart into her dancing, plus she it just so good and her chemistry with Mark is just soo fun to watch. Who cares if she has some dancing background it’s not the same as ballroom as they have pointed out in the 1st episode

DONT LIKE THE RESULTS??? VOTE!!!!!!

Sabrina’s being eliminated is another outrageous example of why the public voting system of performance reality shows such as Dancing With The Stars and American Idol are flawed and do not work. The premise of the shows are for industry professional judges and the viewing public to select the best performers each week according to the quality of their performances. Instead, the voting power of the objective judges is almost always neutralized by the overwhelming voting power of the public whose selections are based more on the performer’s familiarity, popularity, or personal circumstances. Should the public’s opinion be eliminated altogether? No. Just let the professional opinions weigh heavier and perhaps even swing the voting to select who should go versus who are the most well-liked. Doing so would probably eliminate such travesties in the futre and return credibility to these programs.

I can’t believe what happen on DWTS last night. Sabrina was the best one by far, and it seems like America is voting on who they like, and not the dancing. It has turned into one big popularity contest. I’m disappointed that it has come to that. Granted, Jane and Marie have proved themselves in previous weeks, but not this past week. Sabrina was cheated!

It is a shame to impute wrong motives (JEALOUSY)regarding others agreeing that her departure from the show is warranted. JEALOUSY IS NOT THE REASON WHY SHE DIDN’T OBTAIN ENOUGH VOTES TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL!! This show was created for stars who are not skilled in ballroom dancing!! Yes, Sabrina is a young beautiful lady with a dance apitude!! But she too advance!!! Which makes her uneligible for this show!!! The remaining contenders are elementary dancers and are deserving to stay in the competition.:O) AND BY THE WAY, I don’t care about the aftermath of her career due to her departure from this show!! I wish her well and great success!!!

Shocker is right! The best dancer in my opinion because I couldn’t wait to watch her routine..She epitomized hard work…giving over 100% of yourself and being true to yourself..She was attacked on her weight but yet she maximized what she had and her smile was infectious. Reading some other comments I feel the younger sect was quite jealous of her celebrity and felt she was the most experienced and that may have been why she was voted off. I’ve never heard of her but will say that her star will rise even more because of this…even negative press is good press..So for those that voted her off…watch as her celebrity rises into the stratosphere!

Sabrina should not have been cast as a STAR on this show because of her dancing experience. This show is for unskilled dancers, those who can’t dance. THE PREVIOUS WINNERS ARE A WOMAN (kelley monaco) AND TWO MEN (drew lachey and emmit smith) WHO DIDN’T HAVE ANY DANCING EXPERIENCE IN BALLROOM!! With that being said, I feel strongly SABRINA’s departure was warranted. Also, ALEC AND JOSIE should have been elected to stay. It would have been a pleasure to have seen Josie mature in ballroom dancing!!!

I am so disappointed with the results from last night. Nothing against Jane or Marie, but Sabrina was clearly a front runner in the competition and should not have gone home. I have tuned in to every episode this season and it is going to be difficult to continue to watch with Sabrina gone. I cannot believe that the television public did not vote to keep her on, because I certainly did.

I am so shocked!!It makes me so mad. I will not be watching DWTS anymore. Sabrina and Mark were the best and had great chemistry on the floor. To me ya’ll are the champs of DWTS whoever wins now are just runner-up. I wish Sabrina and Mark alot of success in the future and this is just the begining for them.

I am done watching Dancing With The Stars! The competition was worth watching to see who could exceed Sabrina’s talent. She made the show. I suggest a revote. We would have family over on Monday and Tuesday to watch the competition, and all of our guests have said “they won’t watch any longer either.” To bad, Sabrina you are the best dancer in the competition, and in my opinion YOU WON, AND THE COMPETITION IS OVER.

Perhaps the shows producers should review the criteria for selection and give more weight to the judges, as professionals rather than the audience.
Sabrina was clearly one of the best dancers, and to have her booted out, would not only reduce the high level of competition but also make it less interesting.

Sabrina is a professional dancer. She should not be in the dancing with stars!!!
