FOX News is reporting that a woman has accused magician David Copperfield of rape, shedding light on why the FBI may have raided his Las Vegas warehouse.

The woman, from Seattle, reportedly told police he raped her while she was in the Bahamas. Because the alleged incident happened overseas, and she reportedly did not alert authorities until she returned to the U.S., Seattle authorities turned the case over to the FBI.

Yesterday, FBI officials raided his personal warehouse in Sin City, and an FBI spokesman said the case was related to one in Seattle.

The spokesman said, "The Seattle case is pending and that means we can't say anything about it.”

Today, Copperfield’s attorney blasted back at sexual abuse claims, telling FOX News, “If in fact those are the allegations, unfortunately false allegations are all too often made against famous individuals. But we are confident the investigation will conclude favorably."
