RYAN MIGHT HAVE DONE OKAY ON THE EMMYS, BUT HE IS HORRID ON AMERICAN IDOL. SO RUDE NOT TO EVEN MENTION SIMON’S NAME AT THE END OF THE SHOW. GROW UP!!! THE SHOW WOULD BE PRETTY BORING WITHOUT SIMON, YOU HOWEVER CAN BE REPLACED. HE IS A HUMAN BEING AND YOU TREAT HIM LIKE DIRT. NOW A LOT OF THE CONTESTANTS ARE STARTING TO GIVE HIM BACK TALK. BAD BAD KARMA!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Ryan is the greatest host I’ve ever come across. Its just sometimes he goes overboard so starts getting annoying but his wits & style is awesome.
But Simon is the only man I’ve come across Im really impressed with.
If I was there I’d probably have given him a max of 3 if Simon said 2.5.

I sooo agree! I wanted an AI moment so bad!!! Finally I shut the TV off. It would have been great for ratings-What idiots run these things??? No wonder the Brits bring us all the good shows!

I agree, but I guess they didn’t want it to be about idol, they wanted ryan to stand on his own without the help of his idol friends. and I think he did well.

if not for idol, ryan would not have been considered as the host either. it was laughable how little attention there was on the AI or the judges. i know paula got 5 seconds but still, those judges are the reason why idol is nr 1 and why fox is nr 1. they should have recieved much more attention.

Simon and Ryan so needed a big moment onstage together. Even if Ryan had visited Simon in the audience, that would have been awesome. With the exception of Ryan as host, Fox seemed to promote every one of their shows last night except its cash cow, American Idol. If not for Idol, Fox may not have even been considered to broadcast the Emmys.
