Sara Evans' Divorce Finalized

Sara Evans’ nasty divorce battle with ex Craig Schelske is finally over.

“Extra” has obtained court papers filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, which officially dissolve the marriage.

In the papers, a Notice of Public Statement reads, “The parties have agreed that it is in their best interests and those of their children to amicably resolve all issues in their pending divorce. Each wishes the other well in all future endeavors…the parties have no further comment regarding and allegations of fault or misconduct alleged by either party in these divorce proceedings.”

The ex-couple will share joint custody of their children and split all of the marital assets.

The surprise decision comes just weeks after Schelske accused Evans of affairs with 11 men, including country star Kenny Chesney. Evans fiercely denied infidelity and accused Schelske of cheating when she filed for divorce in 2006.

I guess she passed the lie detector test. I’m glad this is finally settled, so that Sara can get on with her life. It’s such a shame that she had to leave Dancing With the Stars; I was enjoying her so much on the show. If only they could give her another chance to compete since she didn’t finish out the season.
