It was no secret that actress and comedian Sherri Shepherd was being hired as the fifth permanent host of "The View," but today Sherri confirmed rumors that her deal was delayed over money.

She told "Extra," You know how negotiations go. You start with a figure, you never expect to get that figure, and you come down to where you want to be."

She added, "It worked out. I'm here. I'm happy."
