Lindsay's Rehab Confidante: 'She's Getting Better Every Day'

“Extra” spoke exclusively to Tony Allen, the man rumored to have befriended Lindsay Lohan in rehab.

Allen recently checked out of the Utah rehab center where Lohan is currently a patient and said, "We’re great friends.”

He's shooting down rumors that Lindsay, who police said had a small amount of cocaine on her when she was arrested for DUI, failed a drug test while she was in treatment.

Allen said, “Positively, absolutely none of that is true!” He insisted that Lindsay has been a model patient.

“We share a common affliction, and we just talk about life sometimes," Allen revealed. "She’s getting better every day.”

As Lindsay continues to recover, Allen said she's determined to revive the promising career derailed by her battle with drugs and alcohol.

“She’s very healthy, very positive," he said. "She wants to present that to her public, to the people who care about her.”

Allen, who is one-half of the rock duo Dead Stays Alive, said that he and Lohan hit it off immediately.

“She’s a musician, so obviously that’s some common ground we had," he said.

He added, “We’re her favorite new band.” Allen’s band mate, Scott Mikell, would even invite Lindsay to join the band once she's out of rehab! He said, “Lindsay can come play guitar anytime she wants to.”

Lindsay is rumored to be leaving rehab next week.

Tony has always been nice to me. Yes he has flirted, but what person doesn’t. None of us know what it was like in there marriage. So who are we to judge. Steph knew what kind of person he was before she married him. She is not angel herself. We should just let them handle it like adults. I would say privately, but it’s kinda too late for that. Hope everything works out not for them and their babies. You don’t have to be together to be parents. So let’s leave them alone. We are all human, and will all continue to make mistakes, Tony’s just happened to have been made public.
Sorry your lives have become such a mess. Sorry about your Dad Tony. You both need to think about your beautiful babies now. Good luck with it all.

Tony made a mistake. Guess what, we all make mistakes.Tony got help for his mistake. Tony is great person if you get to know him. The press makes things look worse then they are. Take that with a grain of salt if you want. The best thing for Tony and his family is to leave them alone and let them get on with life!!!!!! The Richmond Hill Friends

A Statement by Tony Allen
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
M MANAGEMENT LLC

I am going to give one statement in regards to these overwhelming comments to the Extra Interview. I want to state for the record that Stephanie is a GREAT person who deserves nothing but compassion and respect. I have made many mistakes in my life and have much regret. Unfortunately, I have a disease with life threatening and altering consequences. Addiction leaves heavy scars on not only the person struggling with the disease, but most often, their families and friends. Before my decision to seek help for my problem, my life had become unmanageable. I made many poor judgments that are resulting in things I have to pay for today and tomorrow. My marriage being at the front of that list. For that I am truly remorseful. I will bear the weight of that on my shoulders for the rest of my life. As for the snide comments about my character, I understand Stephanie’s friends wanting to support her. I do think it is excessive when you begin using my dead father to get back at me. There was a quote that said, “ Your father would be so proud” I lost my father after a 14 month battle with cancer. It was the final straw that took me over the edge in my battle with my own disease. I was and am still devastated by the loss my father. Any of you who have watched a loved one suffer and die can relate. He was a good and decent man, far better than I, and doesn’t deserve to be slandered in death. Would he be proud? I ask him daily.

There has been much made of my actions, I again emphatically state, I have no romantic relationship with Ms. Lohan. If I was seeking publicity, there has been a lot of money offered to do so. I am not! If someone can produce a cashed check where I have been paid for an interview, I’ll donate it to charity. I have turned down other media outlets. Certain magazines have run articles on me with out my permission. I understand that they are offering money to anyone willing to talk about me. Well, there should be no shortage of takers on that one.

As for music, I started doing music as a form of expression. The words I wrote to some pieces were just a way of dealing with pain and turmoil in my life. Am I the best musician in the world? Hardly….Can I navigate enough to express what I want to come out….sometimes. Art is subjective. What we do, what any artist does is up for review constantly. There will always be critics. At least we have an opportunity to make it and put it out there. Surprisingly, despite all else going on, the music has been well received. Thank you ALL for that.

So whether you dig it or not, whether you feel you need to degrade me or not. Guess my age (NO ONE has gotten that right yet) my weight, hair, eyes, clothes, or shoe size. I ask you to leave Stephanie and our children alone. Come after me if you need to attack others to make yourself feel better. Doesn’t take much creativity to slam someone when they are down. If you really feel the need to express your feelings about me, I urge you to call me and I’ll sit down with you and we can talk about it. Especially the person who felt the need to talk about my dead father. I would love to talk to you. As for the rest of you who want to hide in their anonymity, maybe you are not as anonymous as you think.

See you all soon and I hope the next time any of you perfect angels make a mistake, the public isn’t so harsh on you. I feel confident none of you have tried drugs, been unfaithful, or made mistakes in your personal life, or maybe I should say, I hope, for your sake, you have not.

I again apologize for any hardship this has caused Stephanie or her family as well as my family. I can only hope their pain and suffering will be eased very soon.

Tony Allen

here’s a thought……why don’t we pray for steph & tony……. it works!!

The truth….
The band and the music are original and were actually getting recognized before rehab.
The video is somewhat groundbreaking, at least the thought process for it was an honest attempt at trying to make Americans(at least) THINK.
Stephanie was 21 when she hooked up with Tony and he WAS married.(He seems to prefer young blondes-21 being the magical age)
Tony has repeated his mistakes time and time again. Same story, new names…all in the name of Tony’s words, “All press is good press when you wanna be famous and I just wanna be famous”. For Tony it’s always been at any cost.
And finally, yes, he did need Stephanie’s money in order to pursue his dream of being a “ROCK STAR”! He stated that on many occasions.

Are you guys serious?????? Bad Behaviour???? Bad Morals????? Music, actresses, divorce, Questionable character flaws…………….. who cares……. All these people that are slamming this guy (s) are feeding exacty what they are trying to stop. This story is a dime a dozen. You are giving it legs. He’s a bad guy??? He’s a bad boy sounds like it for sure. Marginal music , hey its not Mozart, but i heard worse. Whether its good or bad, it does sound exactly like your playing into the media frenzy. Keep talking about it will do exactly what it feels like you dont want to happen. It will let it continue to grow. “There’s no Business like Show Business”

Hey, the only “day in the sun” that this “band” will ever have is when they sell all their stuff at the garage sale! Pray for no rain!

Helen. Lindsay as good looking as she once was can’t hold a candle to the beauty and natural charm Steph has. There’s no competition. Steph is a world beauty and can stand alone with all the support she has in her family and friends. Lohan is washed up and shows it.Steph has it all and can maintain much better without Tony’s sicknesses.

I’m not in the band. Guess I wouldn’t mind someone’s money though. I’m sorry the papz are camped outside her house. As far as the end…come on…it’s a figure of speach.

” He’s going to, given the chance, make everything as right as possible in the end. “

In the end? So your words are as fatal as everyone elses here. You DON’T know Steph…not at all. You just need her $$ as much as Tony to keep this “band”: alive.

Now the paparazzi are camped outside Steph’s house. You all sux. Let’s see if Tony handles this the way he’s handled everything else in his past.
You don’t even know Tony very well.

Kool! I think! I’m in the newz…kinda. You all are funny. I usually don’t take time w/this stuff…not enough spare time on my hands I guess. Just got a kick out of the comment that said our music was just 80’s throwback cheese. Thnx…you were only one of 2 people to even talk about the music…the other person said the video sux…I guess one person’s cheese is another person’s cream & some people’s only discriptive verbal capacity falls within 3 letters. Don’t even know what that means, but sounded good in the moment. I’m sure I just opened myself up in a big way. O well!!! Maybe for the rest of the record we’ll go into a TOTAL 80’s throwback. WAIT!!! Everyone else is doing that now. Guess we’ll keep searchin’ for some originality. I’m sure it’s out there under a rock somewhere. Let’s commence the diggin… Peace, Love & Soul to all…and to all a goodnight!!!!
