Criss Angel: Britney and I Are 'Not Together'

Illusionist Criss Angel told People exclusively that he is helping prepare Britney Spears for a possible MTV Video Music Awards performance, and their relationship is purely professional.

"It's amazing what people think," Angel said. "We're not together. Her manager is my manager, and I'm helping with one of her shows. I'm helping with her appearance on MTV."

Rumors flew after the Las Vegas-based Angel, 39, was spotted with Spears, 25, in Los Angeles in recent days, meeting with her and her friends at a restaurant and going with her into a hotel.

Acknowledging the Wednesday night dinner he and Spears shared at Cravings in West Hollywood, Angel said, "Yes, I'm here working on some stuff, and we went to that restaurant with 10 people."

"We were talking about how she wants to do something more with the [awards] show, and about me helping out and hoping to work with her on doing something to make her MTV appearance more innovative," Angel told the magazine.

Spears has been in talks to perform at the Sept. 9 show at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Uh yeah, I do believe Mr. Angel may be 30. I was watching mindfreak today[they showed alot of spisodes by the way lol] Anywho..there was one where it showed him at age 20 preforming on broadway..and he was on broadway in the late 90’s..but he has never said his age. The last episode of season 3 is supposed to be his Birthday Roast, maybe we can all find out then..:/ If he’s 39…well he looks damn good. It doesn’t change the fact that he is a WONDERFUL magacian. The Best In the World! Oh and yeah..let him date who he wants…I read that the thing with brittany was for the VMAs anyway..so whatever..I love me some criss angel

ok sorry to burst your bubble , but criss angel is 39, he was born december 19th, 1967, and there is nothing wrong with brittany, she is good looking and smart, she just had a bumpy patch.

I think he is an idiot if he gets involved with her… She is soooo trashy!!! Give me a break Criss… There are so many other great women out there.. Why have one that has major issues when you can have one that is sane!!!
Stars kill me…. There are soooo many great women out there that aren’t stars and I think more should date people who aren’t stars!!
Come on… Do something a little different…. Britney is used up!!
