Where is Lindsay Lohan Hiding Out?

She was the party-girl that the camera loved but now Lindsay Lohan is the reclusive star that no camera can find.

The New York Post today claims that Lindsay and little sister Ali flew into the Big Apple on Friday to be with their mom Dina, but the pack of paparazzi camping outside Dina’s house on Long Island have not been able to snap Lindsay coming or going.

Dina told the Post, “She’s doing fine.”

Lindsay’s rep tells Us Magazine, “It would be counterproductive to the medical treatment she’s receiving to release Lindsay’s whereabouts at this time,” leading to speculation that Lindsay has checked into the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Sundance, Utah.

One thing is for sure, Lindsay is not with her estranged father Michael, who told “Extra” earlier this month, “I feel responsible, and I know I’m responsible for part of this.”

She hasn’t been since with her troubled father for a long time, although Michael says he would welcome a father-daughter reunion.

“Lindsay's a good kid,” he insists. “She's got a wonderful heart. She's blessed. And she's got to use that gift and her blessing in the right way."

Today I have viewed much of the coverage regarding Lindsay Lohan’s alleged entrance into Cirque Lodge. As an alumnus of Cirque, I am appalled by the media’s portrayal of the facility. E.T. and other shows are portraying Cirque as a place where the rich and famous go to “slink” around and be treated like royalty. Cirque Lodge does have some wonderful amenities, but they are there for a reason. We who have suffered from drug and alcohol problems have spent much time feeling terrible about our lives – no matter or socioeconomic status. Cirque Lodge helped me to feel good about myself for the first time in years – the amenities are small in importance compared to the deep emotional work done with the residents and their families. As a person of no fame, I know that Cirque treats every individual who walks through there doors with the same love and care.

Wherever Lindsay may have gone to seek treatment, allow her to do this in privacy. What is more important to you? The life of a struggling girl or some blurry snap shot you can use on air? Get a life! And allow Lindsay to reclaim hers!
