Update: Hulk Hogan's Son Released from Hospital

Hulk Hogan’s son Nick, who was seriously injured in what cops called a “spectacular” car crash, has been released from a Florida hospital.

Nick, 17, also known as Nick Bollea, was discharged today from Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida after crashing his Toyota Supra and wrapping it around a palm tree.

His passenger, John Graziano, 22, is still in critical condition.

Officials say Nick, a professional driver, was driving at a “high rate of speed” when he lost control of his car.

Firefighters had to extract the two young men from the destroyed car, and a worried Hulk – real name Terry Bollea – surveyed the scene and talked with paramedics.

Nick’s professional driving team has issued the following statement to “Extra”: “Mopar is an associate sponsor of Nick Hogan’s drifting competition vehicle. We were saddened to hear of Nick's accident. Our hearts and prayers are with the Hogan family.”

No charges have been filed, and investigators say there is no evidence he was drag racing or drifting at the time of the crash.

Today there are new reports that Nick was cited for speeding just two weeks before the accident.

The reality TV star was reportedly cited for traveling 82 mph in a 45 mph zone in Florida and for not wearing a seatbelt.

He is a good kid. His parents have tot him will. As of Nick being a (professional)your right he is not. But who is there is no such thing as a professional for anyone. Every body makes a bad mistake in there life. But nick is a pro driver in drifting and he passed the test like everyone ealse to prove it. Since he is famouse everyone hears about it. I would not want to e famouse and have people jujge and wacth your every move. I have been racing on the street for years and i have been luck. the track is no safer then the street if you use your head. Nick I hope you and your friend get better.

not to add insulot to injry - but A a teen of 17 is not a “professional” of anything - and he should have been restricted from driving after the previous speeding incident - he needs to be taught a lesson before he injures or kills someone else - if he has not done so yet. dont give a kid everything they want - they turn into irresponsible and spoiled children - i have one!!!

My reply back to pam.
A if a pasANGER WAS DRuNK when he got into u car when u were drunk as well he did so on his own that has nothing to do with what this is about.
Two young men were in an accident yes and it could happen to any of our children, even to those children whose parents teach them right from wrong. But we all know young kids like to be a little showie when they have nice powerful cars no matter how they were tought there kids and kids make stupide choices ones in awhile. It’s not the parents fault because of that. But I have to agree if he was speeding he should be ticked just like the rest of us. I’m sure he’s jus worried sick about his friend as well but that also doesn’t take his consequences away, and in the case a ticket is fitting if in fact he was speeding and i’m sure he was i’m not saying he was raceing anyone as i wasn’t there but we can tell by the facts that there was speeding involved. This or other comments i have read to this point are in no way trashing the family because of who they are, i personaly dont care who anyone is or isn’t because were all just peopl. But i’m tired of people saying that we all want judgement because of them being famous NO WERE NOT WE just want equality . When there is a crime then the punishment should be the same for everyone, for the same crime

Well if he was speeding then I think he should at least get a damn ticket for that. I don’t care who u are if u break the law then u pay. If that was me they would of gave me a ticket.

Hello? Critically injured - means you may die. Witnesses saw them racing a grey viper. Kids make bad choices. This is why 17 year olds don’t need powerful cars to drive.

I have read alot of reports on the hogan accident. Thats exactly what it is,,,,,an accident. I am so sick of people trashing this family because of who they are. ANYONE can have an accident,,it happens everyday,,,and just because it was a celebrity this time,,,of course everyone says it’s his fault. He has not been charged with anything. Yes,, he is a race car driver, but his parents Terry and Linda, have taught him right from wrong. He IS NOT going to hurt someone on purpose. Besides,,,no one made John get in the car with Nick. Give him a break people,,,he already feels bad because the accident happened and his friend is in the hospital,,,don’t make things worse…….
