My thoughts and prayers go out to Owen and his family. We all face tuff times in all of our lives and we need each other to get through those times, lean on your family and friends and things will get better. Keep your chin up and have faith in the Lord above. You have so many fans out there that love you and need your smiling face in our lives. Depend on others to lean on and don’t sweat the small stuff. Thinking about you everyday and praying that God keeps you close to his heart. I am going through some things myself right now and I understand the pain you must be in. Hang in there Owen. This is obviously someone in a lot of emotional distress - what lifetime gain do we get by delving into his distress? Let the man be - he needs time - hopefully filled with counselling WITH his family - to make peace with his own being. You are not alone - let your anger go and cry your heart out - because when you realize that you have focussed on making everyone around you happy and that it is time to do the same for yourself, the power to do this is overwhelming. I think everyone should just leave Owen Wilson alone! He just tried to comit SUICIDE. Does anyone think it’s really helping to stalk him outside of his hospital, or try to figure out why he attemted this? Because one, you’re just adding fuel to the fire, and two, you could be making it worse. He’s a great actor, and he seems like a nice guy. I don’t think he was that broken up about Kate Hudson to take his own life, there was obviously something else going on! Like his friends are saying- Just leave him alone. I hate that everyone is looking so deep into things he has done, like wedding crashers, He didn’t write the movie! So obviously he wasn’t subconciously telling everybody from the book he was reading in the movie that he wanted to comit suicide. Yes he did co-write the suicide movie/clip with his brother but that doesn’t mean that he was trying to tell everyone that he wanted to take his own life. Honestly, if you were in his position, would you want people trying to pry into your life? I think all of the media is just making it worse. So leave Owen alone for his own gosh darn sake!

If HELL is a place, why bother candy-coating its image? For the love of god, sinners are supposed to boil in flames and get their skin peeled off by demons with maggots pouring out of their orifices. It seems that if you are going to preach fear and guilt, at least make the place as evil as it says in the large book of collected fiction you mindless followers call “The Bible”. Use your wit and cunning to make it through life. Your “religion” is just another way to keep its followers in line by making them feel horrible for every mistake they have ever made. Believe me, if their was a god, he would want you to think for yourselves, not let others think for you.

I was once close to where you are now. Prayers and good wishes go your way. I hope and pray you will get through this OK. There are times when things are unbearable but you must remember to take time for you and clear your head. Then you can deal with whatever your having trouble with. Friends or family can help you and you should talk to someone you trust.

You have a right to privacy as any human being does. I don’t agree with tabloids (or other people) pushing there way for pictures,money or gossip. I was hoping your situation reported on CNN was false.

Must be rough being so famous. With all of that money, maybe he should’ve bought a gun instead, and then we would’nt be posting silly JESUS bullshit. I do not pity these types, for they are among the elite Hollywood snooty fake people. These people are only what the media tells you they are. They are not real. You didn’t invent your image on your own. You are not a creator. Your entire image was invented by someone else: probably by a producer, a manager, an entertainment lawyer, a director, a wardrobe assistant, a few consultants, and your webmaster. The team had a meeting and Owen Wilson happened.

I do hope that you know you are loved and that you will get through this with much love from family and friends. I just want to say a special prayer for you. I pray right now in JESUS name that you recieve the strength to get the help that you need. I pray that you are comforted and reassured that this is not a moment of failure but an eye opening moment that maybe you will come to know Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and that in a time of need such as this that HE would be here for you no matter how low you are feeling and that HE truly loves you abundantly. He is your creator so He knows everything about you and just wants to have a personal relationship with you. I pray in Jesus name that you will have a speedy recovery and that you will be a stronger more JOYFUL person inside and out as a result of this. MANY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

I think most people have a natural curiosity about anyone that can seem to have such a great life (money, friends, career) and then try to commit suicide. Things like this that happen in the public eye can sometimes open up dialog and bring a subject like this one out into the open.

I never understood how anyone could want to commit suicide until I suffered from Major Depression for about a year. Therapy helped me to understand it better. It along with an anti-depressant helped a lot.

My belief in God and that “if God brings you TO IT, he’ll bring you THROUGH IT” helped too. It just takes time and knowing in your heart that things will get better!

Depression which can lead to suicide is basically about loss, real or percieved.

The rain will stop, the clouds will part and the sun will shine again!

no one knows except Owen how he felt and what led him to the breaking point. Everyone goes through trials and tribulations-but the best way through them is support from friends and family-and with a family as close knit as the wilsons, i’m positive owen will come back stronger and brighter. I am thankful that Luke was there to call right in time before it was too late-not everyone is as lucky, unfortanetly.
He is so talented and a rare, nice individual who only deserves the best.

I have battled depression for a number of years. I know better that most what could make someone not want to live out their life. I feel for you Owen and I hope you get the help you need. Just know that you can make it through the rough time you are going through. You are in my thoughts.

Owen was obviously suffering to have done something as rash as this….Luke finding him? He’ll be traumatized forever.

When people put themselves in the limelight, they expose themselves to scrutiny. While unfortunate and my prayers are with the family and him, it is what it is. Suicide is the most selfish act that anyone can attempt. Perhaps anonymity for many, many years would be the best thing for him as he tries to figure why he wanted to hurt himself and devastate those he could have left behind.

Whatever happened it is drastic. My prayers are with Owen. I love his acting too. And I am glad he wasn’t successful.

Movie Stars are human and suffer just like the rest of us. Look at Angelina Jolie….her Mom past away just a few months ago…she’s hurting too. You can tell by her not eating and getting extremely skinny!

So hang in there Owen. This horrible storm will pass and sunshine is on its way.
