Police Log Confirms Owen Wilson's Suicide Attempt

"Extra" has obtained the Calls for Service report from the Santa Monica Police Department, which lists the reason for the 911 call from Owen Wilson's house as an "attempted suicide."

The call was received on Sunday, August 26 at 12:08:16 p.m. The incident was "cleared" almost five hours later at 5:07:16pm.

As "Extra" reported yesterday, sources confirmed that Wilson had indeed attempted suicide. His brother Luke found him, and he was rushed to St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica before he was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he is listed in "good condition."

Those of you who are being total dickbags just because you don’t like OW or because you are not famous yourself need a reality check. those of you pathetic fuckwads who say “do it right next time…, take pills…etc.” need to try it yourselves maybe you will succeed and these posts will be a better place without your pathetic banter.

Yes he has a good life on the outside but we don’t know what’s on the inside.

Suicide is serious and something not to be laughed at.

I’m with a lot of you. O.W. is simply not at all funny, and it baffles me that he ever became a celebrity. The guy sucks.

Its so hypocritical how people who tell others that they are judgemental are judgemental themselves. Just because someone has an opinion different from yours doesn’t mean that they are wrong or a bad person. I believe that we can express our sympathies as we see fit.

O.W. never made me laugh. I walked out of 2 of his movies and would never see another but personally, I wouldn’t want to see him dead just because I don’t care for him.

have some compassion, the guy is under enough media pressure. he has his own life, and he cant live it in fear of what the media will think or say.

Owen i support you mate. Your movies have given me so much laughter and hope. Everyone has problems, and more people than you would like to think understand what you are going through.

Dont give up on life, there are alot of people that care about you. There is alot to live for.

I think in your position its harder to see than anyone else. Mate you are not alone..

i don’t care what Owen Wilson does. its not like he is any more important than anyone else. if i attempted suicide, the news wouldn’t even be posted on a site like this. to hell with him.

What kind of human beings are we, wen suicide is attempted we say “next time do it right!”???
To those people who are cold hearted and such sullied view of life is obviously in a much worse state than Owen Wilson! I agree that it is saddening and will anger us when we try to take life, especailly when we think things are bad there are people with worse problems… But to judge another human being is not our place in this world and will NEVER be! No one knows what the person next to you in going through or the challenges the face, so please stop being immature and take a long at what kind of person you are to take such a stance on a topic you so clearly know nothing about…

I extend my sypathies and support to Mr. Wilson!

PS Shame on all of you who do not treat this as a serious incident no matter who it happens too, famous or not.

Whatever, you bleeding heart mushy pabulum sucker! Wilson’s an actor, for christ’s sake. This is all about drama queen publicity and craving attention just like idiot Britanny Spears. If he had wanted to kill himself, he would have.

Suicide/depression is a serious tragedy no matter who it happens to, you can seem like the person to have it all or you could have nil! It’s a horrible “diesease” to have and it not only effects the person who has done it, it also effects everyone around them. Obviously Owen is going through something none of us understand but he is a person and should be respected of his space but at the same time needs as much supprt from his family, friends and fans. We love you Owen.

Owen - next time try pills and maybe you’ll succeed! If you must cut, do it right, ya big freakin’ spoiled baby, no-talent hack. Why don’t you and Paris Hilton get together and make a suicide pact - kill two waste-of-space jerks with one stone!

Suicide is a very complicated issue. Unless you take the time to understand the why’s and how’s you’ll never comprehend why it claims 1 person every 16 minutes or 87 people daily: that’s more than 30K people a year. Just because someone “has it all” or appears “happy” doesn’t mean they can’t become suicidal. ANYONE can become suicidal. Suicide is an act of desperation……of hopelessness…..it’s done most often to elimiante psychic pain. There are a lot of books on the shelves about this issue. We need to familiarize ourselves with them and start saving lives.

I find it to be ironic how an actor who can make fans laugh during their worst moments is often the one in need for some sort of outlet. You see this time and time again. I am very disturbed by this and cannot comprehend how someone who has so much going for them can fall so hard. Meaning of life is something that needs to be gripped when everything materialistic has come so fast. If I had wealth and security accomplished in my life, I would turn to helping others in need and gaining a deeper understanding of what life is really about. I would start with the most innocent ones of all, the children, because the truth can always be seen in their eyes.
Owen, I know that you weren’t able to finish what you intended to do and now you will be hit with questions as to why but look into your families eyes and see what you were really going to accomplish. Your family is your biggest support system. Go away on a retreat and guard your soul with the biggest amulet you’ll ever have, the impact of your existence in this world. You have many accomplishments on your belt, this is your biggest one to overcome…good luck Owen.

IS SAD TO SEE SOMEONE SUCH AS TALENTED AND CHARISMATIC PERSON AS HE IS, WILL GO THROUGH THAT.HOPES THIS IS A NEW BEGGINING FOR HIM, AND WILL APRECIATED THE SECOND CHANCE OF LIFE THAT WAS GIVEN TO HIM.I MANY TIMES TOUGHT OF THAT BUT I REALIZED YOU NEED A LOT OF COURAGE, AND TO BE REALLY DEPRESS TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT.HOPE THAT WHEREVER MAKE HIM TO THAT WILL NO LONGER AFFECT HIM.MAY GOB BLESS HIM.

I think Owen Wilson is a brilliant actor. I hope he recovers from whatever pain has led him to this suicide attempt. If you listening, get the proper help for your depression, and maybe find some type higher inspiration.

The paparazzi makes me sick. These people have LIVES, you know? PRIVATE lives. Wilson’s suicide is intensely personal, and I would bet that neither he nor his family are all that keen to have People magazine use it to fuel their heartless gossip. You can guarantee that he won’t be left alone for a long, long time. If the poor man had DIED there’d be less hype than this. Just… leave him alone. He’s sad.
