Owen Wilson May Have Left Hospital for Rehab

"Extra" is hearing that Owen Wilson may have left the hospital for rehab.

His reps won't comment, but rumors are swirling that Owen may have left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a treatment facility.

As Owen, friends and family focus on treatment, a firestorm is raging between Courtney Love and British actor and alleged partier Steve Coogan.

Love told Us Weekly that Coogan influenced Owen in all the wrong ways.

Coogan is already feeling the backlash - the normally under-the-radar star was hammered by the paparazzi as he arrived at LAX airport last night.

Courtney is standing by her claims, saying, "If someone wants to do drugs they can do drugs... I don't care. But when it starts to get to a place where it hurts human beings and it hurts other people and it hurts people around them, and the numbers are astonishing of who it hurts."

Today "Extra" is shedding new light on the night Owen hit rock bottom.

A lawyer for Owen claims the only drugs in his system were prescription anti-depressants.

In addition, "Extra" has learned there were two emergency calls made from Owen's Santa Monica home.

The second, after Owen was rushed to the hospital, was apparently to report the paparazzi crush that was already forming around his Santa Monica home.

The City of Santa Monica will not release the original 911 call, saying, "The information contained on the recording appears to be protected by Mr. Wilson's right to privacy."

Legendary celebrity doc, Dr. Drew Pinsky, says Owen, who is rumored to have struggled with a heroin addiction, was lucky his brother Luke made that call.

"Heroin addiction, opiate addiction, is a horrible prognosis," Drew told "Extra." "If people don't take the necessary treatment, they die."

Dr. Pinsky said the only chance Owen has is to stop working and focus on getting better.

He continued, "I would say you have to spend at least six to eight weeks in a highly structured environment - a treatment center - and then three to nine months in a sober living of some type."

THE FIRST TIME I SAW OWEN WILSON, I LOVED HIM. I THINK HE IS THE GREATEST ACTOR/COMEDIAN EVER. FROM HIS CROOKED SMILE TO HIS BROKEN NOSE I THINK HE’S PERFECT. WHEN I’M DOWN I WATCH HIM,(OR EVEN JUST LISTEN TO HIS VOICE ON THE MOVIE “CARS”)AND I PERK UP. I CRIED WHEN I HEARD ABOUT THIS.BUT IT WOULDN’T BE NEWS IF HE WASN,T A CELEBRITY. SO GIVE HIM A BREAK. HE’S JUST LIKE EVERY BODY ELSE. HE HAS GOOD AND BAD DAYS LIKE
EVERYONE ELSE.IM GLAD HE HAS LOVE AND SUPPORT FROM FAMILY, FRIENDS AND EVEN
HIS FANS.GET WELL SOON OWEN!!! I KNOW YOU’LL COME BACK BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER!!!!!!!

When I read about something happening to someone whom affects the mass population in entertainment, politics, or anything at all, I feel a great sadness. The amount of pressure someone must have to be in the spotlight all the time, the responsibility to be a role model and having to see your name being trashed by the media has got to wear a person down. I feel deeply sorry for Owen Wilson, and I pray that he reaches a state of happiness once more.

It’s a shame Owen tried to commit suicide. I think he is a great addition to the comedy world and has made alot of people laugh when blue. But as some say money can’t buy happiness, and alot of actors and actresses seem to be taking drugs, commiting attempted suicide, or are just deppressed. Fame dosn’t seem to bring pleasure, but pain.

Luke saved his brother’s life. I admire him even more now than I did before. What that poor guy must have experienced when he walked in that house, I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Owen wouldn’t be focusing on any kind of future if it weren’t for Luke doing everything right that day. Owen obviously has a loving family who will make sure this doesn’t happen again. Get well soon Owen. You rock Luke!!!!
