Nicole Richie is finally giving the world a glimpse into her controversial life, admitting that it’s time for her to grow up and take care of her life – and her child’s.
Nicole originally claimed she was innocent after being arrested and charged with DUI for driving on the wrong side of the freeway, but a heartbreaking experience changed her mind.
“They started flashing pictures of little children that had been killed by people driving under the influence, and at that moment, I literally felt like the worst person in the world for even trying to get out of that situation,” a somber Nicole explained to Diane Sawyer.
Added boyfriend and father-to-be Joel Madden, “It was our first real parent moment.”
Four-months-pregnant Nicole officially pleaded guilty last week, and she said it was time to stop denying responsibility for her actions.
She will serve her 4-day jail sentence by September 28, and "Extra" has learned Nicole has chosen to go to the same Lynwood jail where Paris Hilton served her time!
Nicole also revealed they don’t know the sex of their child, and they won’t know until Nicole gives birth in January.
