New Questions Arise about Britney Spears' Mental State

In recent months, Britney Spears has been plagued with stories that would make anyone cringe: tales of meltdowns, stealing, childcare worries and constant partying.
But the mother-of-two isn’t letting those disturbing headlines stop her from partying.
Last night, “Extra” spotted the recently-rehabbed starlet hitting Hollywood club Winston’s with her assistant Alli.
Driving away from the club – without a seatbelt on – she sucked on a lollipop, then handed it back to a mystery man who happily took the candy from her!
Her constant partying, despite rehab and Kevin Federline’s reported battle for full custody, is now raising questions about Britney’s mental state.
New reports say Britney may be suffering from bipolar disorder, a mood disorder characterized by erratic behavior and wild, unpredictable mood swings.
In fact, her recent antics seem to rival her February head-shaving scandal.
This month alone, she heated up the feud with her mother after ordering her to stay away from the kids, jumped into the ocean wearing only a bra and underwear and had an alleged meltdown during a photo shoot in which she reportedly stole or ruined thousands of dollars worth of designer clothing.

Ok…as a Mental Health Therapist, Out Patient Counselor, Behavioral Specialist and Social Worker…as well as a mother of two and a sufferer from Bipolar (rapid cycling) I would just like to say that Brittany is not just acting out for attention or is being unruly just for something to do or gain attention…she doesn’t have a personality disorder for multiple reasons..read the DSM-IV …symptoms known do not really meet the criteria…not Schizophrenic…doesn’t meet criteria either….what I can say I believe she has is Bipolar and probably Post partum…and if mixed with alcohol and/or drugs it is a complete mess…can be a deadly one…each day is different for her…awakening and never knowing how she is going to feel…calm and can manage her day in a positive manner (normal) …irritable and excitable…moody and fiery/explosive or manic/euphoric/dangerous and has poor judgement and decision making…no one knows what it is like to have Bipolar…doctors can try to tell you and counselors try to help…the best ones to help you are those whom have it under control themselves of course with help of medications/therapy but with your own input and implemetation ofeffective techniques and interventions…BiPolar sucks! It is hereditary and stressors bring it out big time as well as having children…changes in hormones and other chemicals…it takes years for someone to be diagnosed with it…showing some signs here and there until it gets so bad that the symptoms occur all the time and impede one’s daily functioning…it becomes noticeable to all at this time…No one asks for it and it is the hardest disorder to understand and explain…basically your chemicals in your brain have a mind of their own and you have at times little control over it and at tiems are not even conscious of some things…it takes over your cognitive portion of thinking and judgement and replaces with more of emotional reactions/responses to everything in life…when escalated it can take the smallest thing to set someone off with Bipolar such as a stain on your new jeans or bounced check or anything…it can make you eratic and even punch walls and if more stressors are added on it gets bad…for some people esp. with rapid cycling Bipolar…on the other hand Bipolar sufferers also have a very deprressive stage where they can’t and don’t want to socialize or face the world or even deal with any problems big or small and will ignore them and have no empathy or conscious feelings of feeling bad they are not taking care of things they need to be, paying bills, or even attending work (or Child Custody hearings) and so forth…one’s daily life suffers, work, and relationships…you depend on coffee/caffiene/energy drinks/ anything to make you feel normal and in turn it actually messess up ur moods even more…the Mood swings are not fun and either is coming down from a manic state where your mind is racing a hundred miles an hour and u are on top of the world and nothing matters but fun and feeling good/gaining that Euphoric feeling at any cost (lying, stealing, shopping…blowing all ur rent money …whatever…) ….there is so much more to explain about Bipolar…it causes inattentiveness(symptoms similar to ADHD), makes people appear as if they have multiple personalities, or are crazy (Schizo)and other various disorders/behavioral and emotional disturbances…Bipolar is the most underdiagnosed and most misunderstood…it is one of the hardest to control and get your life back on track and have people trust you and look at you like you are normal…I never asked for this and at times cry saying I don’t want this anymore…but it has enabled me to get an inside look and feelings on the disorderto help others…ther is no doubt that medication is the way to go…especially at first to get things under control and make appropriate positive changes in your life and hopefully if can be…get off meds…but some people have it so severe they will need to be on meds for the rest of their life…it all depends on each and every person and depends on numerous factors…We do not know Brittenys heredity…if other mental illnesses are in family (Bipolar?..any not diagnosed? etc…)…I wish I could help her but unfortunately some smuck who is only book smart about the DSM-IV disorders will try to treat her and release her way to early and not look at the things that really help people…especially women and esp. superstars recover…all i can hope for is that she gets a good Mental Helath team and othe rdoctors to help heer and I hope she accepts the help and does what she has to…there is hope for her and her children…she does care..Brittany cares…but Bipolar has taken over her and it is not just “Brittany” anymore…its the devil inside …it is so many things that are out of her control and/or have gotten out of control due to moods swings and lack of normal cognitive functioning/decision-making…ok I’m gonna stop here…writing a book..I hope you all see that it is not Brittany acting out and doing bad things…it is the disease…the so-called “devil/monster -inside” that can be tamed and riddened with the right help and motivation…I hope that help gets to her in time…I feel for her and her kids!
