You Tell Us: Is Keira Knightley Too Thin?

Keira Knightley’s appearance at the Venice Film Festival is sparking rumors that she’s too thin.

But Keira fought back, telling "Extra," “I think that it’s a story that’s made up simply so that they can write something. It is disheartening, but I think also it’s expected, which actually is the most disheartening thing of all.”

Take a look at these pictures from Keira’s appearance at the festival and you tell us: is she too thin?

I think she’s not too thin. She does not look like an anorexic.

BUT she is very beautiful. I just love her body.

I keep staring at that picture in awe of because of how awkward she looks due to her thinness. She would look perfectly fine if she was 10-15 lbs fatter. And to all of you complaining about your inability to gain weight- EAT MORE BUTTER. I did it for that purpose and I look great now.

Just because people accuse her of being too thin doesn’t make them insecure. Anyone with eyes can see that she is way too thin. I’m not saying she’s anorexic, but she is too skinny.

She’s anorexic, obviously. have everyone forgotten that this sort of figures, with bones and skinny arms and big heads, are totally abnormal ? I believe everyone is used to it. But here is the risk : even reluctantly, we begin to find normal what is not. I don’t know anything about Keira Knightley, if she suffers or if she enjoys being so skinny (because anorexia can be both) but if she is aware of her eating disorder she should just tell it. I can’t imagine young girls following her example thinking that they’ll be fine.

She’s definately NOT too thin. I’m a tiny girl like she, we can eat and still just have a different build than other people. It’s upsetting to hear people accuse a girl of an eating disorder when she clearly doesn’t have one; I speak from personal experience. We should just leave her alone.

Her back’s a bit bony but it’s probably natural! I’m quite slim because i have a fast metabolism and do a lot of exercise! People have said i’m too skinny before but i’m happy with my size, you should be happy with yours and with keira’s.

I’m so tired of people accusing each other of being too thin or of eating disorders. I’m thin like her too… naturally.. I still eat, I’m still healthy. I’m thin because I exercise regularly, eat healthy food and because of genetics. Stop accusing her of being too thin. She is fine. Anyone who has to point fingers is obviously insecure themselves. She looks good.. leave her alone.

She is abso lutely NOT too thin. she’s got a great body that a lot of girls would kill for. She is a gorgeous woman and that should be recognised..this does not mean however, that someone who isn’tas skinny as her isn’t gorgeous..just look at queen latifa or america ferrera, both beautiful women also!

Remember that the camera adds at least 10 lbs. on you. In real life, she probably looks like a skeleton (not pretty)..

She is definitely too thin, and it’s a shame because she’s so good looking otherwise

Sorry, she is waaaay too thin. She is skin and bones. I don’t care how beautiful she is. She needs to fill up and look healthy. Talk about sending the wrong message to young women!

In her own words. You decide. I’d be more concerned about how she lost the weight.

The Washington Post:
Keira Knightley has claimed she is fat in comparison to other Hollywood actresses.

The Bend It Like Beckham star insists that weight is a big issue within the movie industry and that she is “twice the size” of some of her peers she sees at castings.

Knightley is quoted as saying: “Weight is a big issue in Hollywood because I’m twice the size - height and everything else - of most of the girls who are going in to see the director for a part.

“When you realise that I am, at my size, one of the largest actresses there, you start to think, ‘I don’t think it’d be healthy for me to stay here much longer.’”

Women are vicious toward each other when it comes to things like this. A woman will attack the way another woman looks simply because she secretly wishes she looked like the woman she’s attacking. It’s really disheartening. It must be horrible to be a celebrity and have everyone scrutinzing the way you look all the time. I doubt the normal everyday person could handle such things. Is Keira a bit thin? Perhaps, but she’s quite obviously fit. Look at her abs. When one loses weight in an unhealthy fashion, one does not automatically get a six-pack. She’s a beautiful young woman who possesses a figure most women would love to have.

I agree that there are many women out that that would love to look as Keira does. Woman are vicious when it comes to things like this. There is so much jealousy between women. A woman will attack another woman simply because she secretly wishes she looked like the woman she’s attacking. It’s really disheatening. Could Keira afford to gain a bit of weight? Yes, but she’s still quite lovely, and from the look of her ab muscles, she’s obviously quite fit. When a person loses weight, they don’t automatically get a six-pack. Leave her alone, and just be happy your every move isn’t scrutinized by the public like a celebrities is.

I don’t think there’s a female out there that wouldn’t love to look like this. A little skinny, yes, but it’s better than being too fat.

I think that both sides have really valid points, but even if she did have an ED, it’s not the public’s business, it’s her’s and hopefully a doctor’s. And why is it that it’s okay to call people ‘sickly skinny’, but not ‘fat’? It’s almost as if people are throwing around the term ‘Anorexic’ these days because they see it as a compliment. Why?
